A fascinating Olympic museum full of history, inspiration, motivation and a lot of interactive features for both adults and children. The spirit of the Olympics promoting peace and respect, excellence, hard work and perfection resounds throughout all floors of the museum, which has a lot of historical artifacts, signed memorabilia from Olympians, modern wall to wall television screens playing memorable and inspiring moments. The museum has a lift and is wheelchair friendly. It also has a lovely cafe of the top floor which provides table service and serves well priced hot and cold food and drinks for that much needed break. Staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly. This modern Olympic museum is highly recommended.

It's a huge venue on multiple floors - so much to see and listen to - Learn about all things Olympics. Wonderful historical information about the Olympic movement and its revival. Some athletes have donated sports wear and equipment they wore at their triumphant events- the huge red trainers of a basketball player. This is the Yellow Vest Usain Bolt wore in 2012 when he won the 100 and 200 metres Sprint! Get close up to seeing the medals at each Event and more. There is a timeline showing each Olympic and the country in which it was held ( Paris and Los Angeles next) including the Winter Olympics. I could feel my excitement as I watched some video recordings replaying some events of the past. I would highly recommend a visit. You might need two visits to get round to seeing it all. I visited in the winter on a cold very rainy day so this may have led to not having to queue and entering the venue so easily. Spring / Summer may attract more visitors. Would revisit again!

Nice but at 18 chf entrance fee they should do better. It should be way more interactive so you can find more info on specific editions or competing athletes. The displayed items of athletes are nice but it is just a minimal selection. The display of medals and torches is the best part of the museum. The staff is mostly quite unfriendly, uninterested at best and 30 minutes before closing time they start to push the visitors towards the exit. The gift shop is big but way overpiced. The lockers need a coin (1 chf or 1 eur) which yoy get back (so this hassle makes no sense) and are put away in a back corner of the museum. The main focus seems to be to illustrate the greatness of the mission of the IOC (please take notice of my intended sarcasm) and less to display the olympic history. Sometimes information is downright absent (especially where it concerns infrastructure or mentioning the people in video fragments). Beautifully located though and the set-up of the exhibition is clear.

Visiting the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, was an exceptional experience. The museum beautifully captures the spirit and history of the Olympic Games, offering a fascinating journey through time. From the extensive collection of memorabilia, including medals, torches, and athlete uniforms, to the interactive exhibits that engage visitors of all ages, every detail is meticulously curated. One of the most impressive aspects is the immersive multimedia presentations that bring the stories of past Olympic Games to life. The museum also features insightful displays on the cultural and social impacts of the Olympics, highlighting the event's global significance. The stunning location by Lake Geneva and the beautifully landscaped gardens add to the overall charm of the visit. The Olympic Museum is a must-see for sports enthusiasts and anyone interested in the history and ideals of the Olympic movement. An inspiring and unforgettable.

A Wonderful museum that exposes the history of the Olympic games summer and winter in all it's details from the organization to the participants to opening videos and films and press coverage. You can see the gold, silver and bronze medals of each session. You can also see and get information about the Olympic Villages and the clothes of the participating athletes and many other things that you can see in the pictures that I took while there. You need a whole day if not more if you want to see everything and read all the information plates and watch all the videos. One more thing, the organization of the museum is very efficient and you progress in your visit smoothly never feel lost.

Visited the Olympic Museum (Le Musée Olympique) in mid-April 2023 during a day trip to Lausanne. Great museum experience from start to finish! Many interactive and informative displays throughout the museum kept me focused on all things Olympics. As expected, the museum has an amazing collection of sports equipment, stadium models, medals, torches, memorabilia, athlete uniforms and all things Olympics. I learned many facts that I didn't know about the history of the modern Olympics from my visit to the museum. Tickets can be bought online or on-site. The museum has a café and gift shop. Definitely worth visiting!
