Zooburger — Restaurant in Lausanne

For what used to be a staple in Lausanne must eat burgers, has become a totally disappointing destination. Soggie bloodie buns, slimey cheese, fries so small you feel like you got the bottom of the bag; coupled with filthy toilets and a staff that would rather be doing their university homework than waiting your table. Not going back any time soon!

I have edited my review as it seems I cannot add a response to your comment A.Rigaud. If I have taken the time to write a review its not for 'gratuitous aggression' but for complete disappointment. I used to live 10 minutes away and I would come regularly with my wife. I decided to come back as we were in the area, and my experience was nothing short of 'poor'. I always loved the quality of your food, but I would absolutely suggest you visit this establishment and keep an eye on how things are being done there. The burgers are quite creative but I feel like the quality of the ingredients has gotten worse over the years. Therefore, I feel like the value for money isn't as good as it once was.

I was disappointed especially with the Kalahari special; dry, lacking in sauce and felt like it was just thrown together with whatever they had in the kitchen. Bun could have been toasted, instead it felt like it was just out of the packet. Feta cubes in a burger just don't work. Make more effort pls, especially for a combo worth 25 CHF.

Beer was great however, locally produced and of a very high quality. If it hadn't been for the awesome beer, I would have complained and probably left without paying - the fries were on average about 3cm in length. I'm all for homemade but this was just taking the Mickey.

This place has a nice garden but the terrasse is just next to a very active street, vert noisy and polluted. The manager is young, arogant and not at all friendly telling people if they didn't reserve they can't have a place even if there are 3 or 4 tables which the clients finished eating and left already. Tables are not clean even after 30 minutes. The hamburgers look OK and there website tells you about the good products they use which is nice but in reality the burgers stay on the kitchen counter a long time before an employee brings it to the table meaning they arrive not hot and this means the hygiene is not great. Besides that the manager can be aggressive and really very rude. Don't bring your children there because the manager can speak in rude and very impolite ways in front of your children. Never again.
