Great mall, which has been renovated recently. Wide variety of stores, great access points (i.e. it has a direct connection to the train station), appealing to the eyes and very clean. Note: It is a medium-large sized mall for Switzerland - in the US this would be considered small.
You find a wide variety of stores, covering food, drinking, fastfood, hair & nails, clothing, electronics, flowers and other areas. Probably everything you need daily.
What I would really improve are the elevators - touch panels are modern, but I want the physical buttons back, particularly for redundancy - imagine if the display breaks or gets hacked or whatnot. Not to mention if you misclick you can not correct, particularly when you are INSIDE the elevator. Also I think generally the signs are well done, but could improve a tad. Finding Migros Klubschule when coming from the trainstation confuses me and the first time I went there I took me 10min because I got confused as...
Read moreToday I went to Denner at Neumarkt, Oerlikon and had a shocking experience. I picked up two items and was asked to pay CHF 40, even though the items were worth only around CHF 20. Upon checking the bill, I could see the items have been billed twice! When asked, the cashier was rude and what more, she corrected only one item and asked me to pay more than what was required. Only upon insisting to check again, she corrected everything and gave the right bill. This is something which I've never experienced in Switzerland. Or may be I have and I would be to blame for not checking the bill properly.
This did not look like a genuine mistake based on the cashier's rude behaviour. And this is not the first time this is happening at Denner.
I would like to insist everyone to check their bills before...
Read moreNewly renovated and very convenient. An upscale Migros, a fully stocked Denner, a large Lidl, specialty stores, restaurants and take-aways. Everything you need in one stop. Clean customer toilets for CHF 1. You need a coin to enter. The elevators need getting used to but work. What I do not understand is the parking system. It's surprisingly expensive for Oerlikon (CHF 6 for 1.25 hours, and after that it goes up quick) but you cannot pay with an EC or credit card. You have to have cash. In this day and age, that's ridiculous.
Update! I guess enough people complained because you can now pay for parking with a card. But you still need a coin to use the public...
