Azure Hotel — Hotel in Hualien City

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic experience at this hotel. Their attention to details and world class service gave us a very enjoyable experience. Their friendly and very polite service throughout our stay, from check-in, room service, dining and help finding day excursions, gave us a great memory in Hualien . I have traveled to many places around the world and this hotel exceeds our expectations.

BTW – Very surprised to see previous negative write up, we were there to witness the whole incident in the lobby -- that guy was very rude, and in the end it revealed that he’d nothing to complain about. Finally in the end he apologized for his wrongful behaviors to the police and Hotel staff, surprised to see he ended up wrote that untruthful review afterwards. Sad to see unethical people abused social media in this way.

This was a nice place to stay. Rooms were comfortable and big for Taiwan. There was a large common area room with tables, where we were provided with a free drink upon our arrival. Also a game room and gym. I wish the gym was open 24 hours; I was not at the hotel during most of its opening hours. ||Breakfast was good! No restaurant or food for dinner time. You had to walk a few blocks to get food (other than the McDonald’s across the street). Bottles of water provided daily in the rooms.||You could potentially walk to the train/bus station. Several buses stopped just a block away, though. The hotel could arrange tours to the Taroko Gorge or around town, but we found it easiest to take the public bus on our own. A dim room, but clean and with nothing missing.

Was given a corner room and had windows on two walls, which I loved. But I docked a star off because the rooms were dim. The light in the bathroom inadequate. The mirror was dark. And there were insufficient hooks to hang the towels.

Service is polite, the buffet breakfast is good, with a pretty extensive noodle bar. Did not like the way they mixed up food items between groups.

The mushroom shaped steamed pau was pretty impressive.

A good hotel for those with kids as you get a pretty big playground.

If you are hungry there are plenty of options. Fast food chains are across the road, as are other eateries.
