山明水秀民宿 — Attraction in Yuchi Township

I just stayed 5 happy nights at Green Hills & Clear Waters B&B (山明水秀民宿) in Idathao.||I heartily recommend it to anybody who wants a relaxing time on Sun Moon Lake. The family running the place made me feel completely at home, with a warmth and attentiveness that I really appreciated - this human factor was a highlight of my holiday. It’s clear they take pride in offering good service and making their residence as attractive as possible. Several family members speak enough English to make up for my limited Chinese - which is just as well, because I had lots of queries and requests, all of which they resolved efficiently and graciously! I don't have a car, so I was pleased that they arranged my local transport.||The location is great: just one short block away from the lakeshore and the food stalls, craft shops, restaurants that make Idathao such a pleasant vacation spot. It's super convenient for getting the boats across the lake, hiring a kayak or paddle boat, watching the Thao Indigenous culture shows, renting a bicycle to go around the lake (very glad I did this, there were some great views and lots of glorious nature), or popping out to the Family Mart or 7-11 if you get hungry after the eateries close!||A few hundred metres of scenic lakeside strolling brings you to the ropeway/cable car if you want to go over to the Formosan Aborginal Cultural Village amusement park; or, like me, just take a ride to enjoy the views.||My room was very comfortable, with everything clean and functional. There was plenty of hot water in the shower, a new aircon unit, comfy bed & pillows; and all the essentials were provided (tea, coffee, toiletries, towels etc) and also happily replaced by my wonderful hosts. In the evenings I made use of the table and chairs on my balcony, from where there is a partial view of the lake and a green hill behind it. I’m going to be living in Taiwan for the next six months, and will definitely return to Sun Moon Lake – and I’ll make sure to reserve a room...

Very friendly hotel owner. Room was huge. Room was cold & owner provide 2 portal heater. Right outside the door? There’s a water dispenser for cold & hot water. Balcony facing the lake. Simply love the simplicity of this hotel ....

房間寬敞，非常乾淨，可以稍微看到日月潭的一角（還是有被建築擋住一些，如果想看完整湖景，可能要去更高級的地方）。床和枕頭都舒服好睡，夏天無法更換成較薄的棉被，好在日月潭地勢較高，晚上睡覺搭配冷氣也不覺得熱。兩邊床頭櫃各有兩個插座，很方便。

浴室很大也很乾淨（乾濕分離無浴缸，熱水穩定強勁，洗起來很舒服，蓮蓬頭的高度角度都很好調整）、每層樓都有飲水機、無電梯。有小陽台。

整體隔音還不錯，早上有零星聽到小孩子的聲音，音量可接受。

十分惋惜沒有吃到大家推薦的豐盛早餐，推測可能是疫情緣故。只能單點蛋餅或熱壓吐司搭配紅茶或奶茶，沒有其他配料，看到早餐覺得失望（當初有特別尋找早餐評價不錯的民宿，但忘記考量疫情影響，沒想到會差這麼多）。用餐時間7:30-9:30，會於指定時間送到房間門口。

拿到一副鑰匙，不確定若需要和友人分開行動時能否有多的鑰匙、磁扣。

地點佳，離碼頭、老街都很近。老街美食老闆較不熟，但自己上網查很方便。有搭配租腳踏車優惠，但腳踏車業者表示A地B還的措施有調整，要詢問清楚。

入住前用訊息詢問行程安排相關問題，老闆也都有回應，謝謝老闆！不收訂金，當天到櫃檯也有記得曾提過的房型需求。搭...
