Wanted to have western food today and been reading good reviews about this place.

The cafe does have its charms, though can be improved. Will write about that later.

Food…. what’s the most important to attract returning customers? Presentation…. and of cause taste have to be good or superb. The milk tea looks cool, make me smile 😅 The toast bread… hmmm nothing special just simple peanut butter spread Last… the main dish, 😳…. Not sure if other customer before me had ordered similar… but, does not look good. It’s like all the ingredients just dropped to the plate. Remind me of Singapore chai peng.. well this version is “atas” chai peng 🫣 Fortunately, the lack of presentation saved by the taste. Meat for steak are tender, the deep fried meat surprisingly good and tender too. The crispy meat ball is nice. Salad balance well with dressing, and bean sprouts… I know some of my colleagues back home will hate it 😅 Overall, I can’t recommend the place unless you don’t really care about the food platting.

Now the ambience…. definitely nice place for couples, and those who like to have meals with superb scenery. But they could do more to improve especially collection section (returns of dirty plates/utensils/cups)… it’s next to dinner table.. 😵‍💫 maybe in a food court like in Singapore, but cafe, and with higher $$, I expect more can be done for your customer to enjoy...

Absolutely incredible views of the Sun Moon Lake. Able to see the mountains, the lake, busy boats. Not busy on a Monday in winter, lots of seating available. We picked the window seat to get a great view of the lake. Food was great as well - the western breakfast sets had delicious ingredients. I especially liked the chicken karaage. The breakfast sets came with soup and barley tea. Carpark is nearly as well, just a 3-4 min walk. Honestly just a great place to enjoy the lake and take...

Beautiful views. Very well thought out decor.

I'd recommend the tea sausage set which came with rice, a noodle salad, veggie salad and another blanched veggie. All sets come with soup and a barley cold drink. Perhaps the team can consider improving the signature breakfast set - cocktail sausages were overcooked. A little weird eating untoasted bread with peanut butter and chocolate sauce.
