Sun Moon Lake Apollo Resort Hotel — Hotel in Yuchi Township

The view from the room is the best and my favourite! So worth it. The breakfast is good and slow paced :) The staff at the breakfast area are super friendly, they're so nice even though they're so busy (seemed short staffed). They also have the option to pack the breakfast to go, but I think it's nicer to eat it there :)

The only downside of the room is the cleanliness, as there was a bug on my bed. And then at night when I opened the balcony door, a huge insect flew in. It most likely came from the surrounding forest, so I can understand that it's beyond the hotel's control also. When I finally got comfortable in bed, I saw a family of bugs crawling on the window... So I slept in fear... I had the most shocking discovery the next morning😂My family and I were taking pictures at the balcony, and I noticed the tiny insects are still there. When I turned around, I saw the balcony door in its full glory: it was infested by those insects, it wasn't 2 or even 5 insects crawling, it was an entire colony. From the top of the door to the bottom, to even the walls. There were nests🥲I honestly have no idea what insects those are but yeah... Just be careful when you're taking your beautiful instagram photos at the balcony. There's a colony of bugs watching you😂If you're scared of bugs just like me, pls get your partner/family member to check the balcony first before you even dash towards the balcony to enjoy...

Got to say the view was good. Woke up to a beautiful scene in the morning does make the day good. The breakfast was superb as well.

Only slightly disappointed by the counter staff when I was doing the check in. The lady seem pretty impatient, which I thought was acceptable but what happen next made me decide I should give only 4 stars for service. One of my friend forgotten to bring the room card out when going for supper, upon realising, they went to the counter to request for help to open the room. The lady (yes the same one) let out a huge sigh (looked upset) before unwillingly moving out of the desk to help my friend out. This I felt was over the line... the service level was....

What saved them was after we came back, there was another gentleman manning the counter. And he was alot more helpful and sincere when we asked for help.

Anyways. Not to deter anyone from visiting or staying. Just wanna share my experience and hope no one has to face similar incidents to spoil...

I recently spent two nights at this newly renovated hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was immaculately clean and came with a well-spread breakfast that was both tasty and satisfying.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the owner was also very hospitable. The highlight of my stay, however, was the spectacular and peaceful lake view from the hotel. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway, whether as a couple or with family.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a serene and comfortable place to stay. The combination of the well-appointed rooms, delicious breakfast, friendly service, and unbeatable lake views make it an ideal choice. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would not hesitate to return...
