This was a hard review to leave because I’ve had both a 5 star experience here as well as a 1 star experience. Last night I received one of the best massages I’ve had in my life at this place. It was given by the slender lady with the very kind smile and absolute kickass massage skills. I receive massage regularly both at home and while traveling and I’ve had my fair share of good and not so good. This massage was in the top 3 best massages of my life and at 350 baht was well worth it.

Sadly, I returned tonight eager to get a foot massage after a long day walking around at the markets and running errands. It was the second worst foot massage I’ve ever had. She drenched my leg in lotion, to the point that I had to ask her to stop. Obviously with so much lotion I could not feel a thing. While I sat there watching the two girls beside me asleep from their relaxation. One of them receiving a massage from the same lady who gave me my massage last night. This was a 300 baht foot massage, and I am very disappointed. You roll the dice if you go here, it could be the best or it could be the worst. If you decide to go look for the slender lady with the kind smile!

Read the reviews and knew it was going to be a hit and miss, but still had a good feeling about it, since I messaged to book at an off-peak timing and requested for an experienced masseuse.

1. the massage was meh... Sometimes it felt like she was just stroking me, and sometimes she puts her whole weight on me, at a really awkward position. They are not supposed to press on your spine. Just the muscles around it!

2. she turned the Aircon on at full blast at the beginning, but it soon got too cold. When I told her to adjust the Aircon she merely drew the curtains more to block the airflow.

3. my massage ended 10-15 minutes early. I'm not even counting the time she fumbled with first, one remote control, then the fan, then another remote control, and the times she checked her phone during the massage.

Editing to add in more details: 4) first time in my five years in Thailand was I asked to lay the cloth on the pillow on my own.

5. first massage where my feet were not washed, and not even wiped before the massage.

However, to be fair, 10% of the time she did manage to press on the right spots. Added one star for that. The lady at the reception was friendly and welcoming as well.

Over my 2 month Asia trip, I went to 9 different massage shops, in the goal of finding my favorite shop. This was shop #1.

I probably came here around 8 occasions, this was a top tier massage spot for me, due to the quality, price, and consistency of the massages.

If you like strong and deep massages, then this is a good spot for you. I found that they generally focused more on face-down positions using vertical/downward pressure movements.

Here are my notes of specific therapists: Ta (which means 'eye' in English, so you can call her that too): A very nice balance between therapeautic and relaxing massage. She is strong and is able to find tender areas, she does a good job for both upper and lower body. Her focus is applying pressure in a vertical/downward plane, 90% of the massage are from this angle. Thep: Very good at trigger point therapy, especially in the lower body. Found many problem spots that most therapists never can find. Especially skilled using the stepping technique, though be warned, it was pretty intense. Was nice enough to add tiger balm/oil on specific spots that warranted it.
