How do we make this review less than 1 star?? I bought a Samsung Galaxy tablet and after 2 weeks it refuses to charge more than 15%. I went to samsung.co.th website to find out where their new service center in Pattaya is because i know they have moved from opposite Tesco near Theprasit rd. But No! Why would they have the pattaya branch service center map on their Thai Website? it might take the talent on an 8 years old child to create such a complex feature! So I called their call center in BKK and they indeed told me that there was one in Nth Pattaya but she couldn't describe it to me well because she was from BKK. "fair enough, just send it as a dropped pin to my phone" i said, thinking they were a PHONE COMPANY! stupid me! "No we will have to email it to you" was the reply. OK fine no biggie, but I am super busy please send it to me ASAP. That was yesterday and I am still waiting for that email. So I eventually found the place and after being grilled for a large amount of data at the door, i eventually got a service rep. I asked how long have you been here at the new location? Oh about 2 years she replied... So why not put the map on your website?? Oh its already on Google maps she replied. As are 10 other Samsung stores... OK so she said the fix will take an hour and they'll contact back to me. That was yesterday and I am still waiting. Don't worry Apple Inc you can keep charging exorbitant prices for your phones whilst your competitors scramble around for...
Read moreThe service at Samsung Pattaya has gone down hill. They used to fix your phone the same day if parts are available. Now they tell you to go back tomorrow regardless. Then they called me the next day "Your phone is ready" I went to pick up but they say must wait 20mins. Then after 20 minutes they say I need to wait 1 hour for QC.
If the phone is not ready do not call the customer to pick it up.
Basic Communication skills. Basic management. If the job is not done do not tell the customer to come to pick up.
After all this I finally got my phone. I drove 5 km away and then tried to put my sim card in. They had forgotten to give me the sim tray so I had to drive back again to pick it up the traffic around there is horrible it took me another hour! . I was supposed to be going to Rayong with guests that were waiting in the car for me to pick the phone up we thought it would be ready. Unfortunately there is no other option in Pattaya you have to deal with these...
Read moreI think there is potential here to do well not only with local Thai customers but also foreigners who are in need of assistance. I've been a local Samsung client for over 10 years & have been very happy with the product, rarely requiring support. Recently I cracked the screen in my Korean Note20. I've been informed that because it is Korean it will not only cost 2,000B more but it may take 3-4 months & maybe more. I decided to gamble & order it. The next day I received an SMS confirming a repair appointment 16-10-24. I received a 2nd SMS as well. So I traveled the 35min into Pattaya for my 9am appointment where I was told the part is not in. The message came from head office. ??? Anyway, apparently in 2-3 weeks I will receive a phone call. Hopefully. Lesson from Samsung: Don't rely on SMS to confirm appointments. The good news is I'll survive & no-one...
