The Proud Hotel Pattaya — Hotel in Pattaya City

The experience at this hotel was a complete disaster from start to finish. The staff at the reception was not only unhelpful but also provided blatantly incorrect information. When we asked if they could turn on the water sprinkler so that my daughter could have some fun, the receptionist flatly refused and claimed that she couldn't do it. This refusal seemed unnecessary and inflexible, and it felt like we were being brushed off without any valid reason. It was only after I took the initiative to speak to the manager, whom I had to approach with utmost politeness, that the sprinkler was finally turned on. This whole process was frustrating and unnecessary, highlighting a significant lack of coordination and willingness to assist guests.

Communication with the staff was another major issue. They spoke very little English, making it incredibly difficult to convey even the simplest requests. There was a palpable sense of indifference from them, as if the guests' needs and comfort were the least of their concerns. This lack of effective communication and empathy created a very unwelcoming atmosphere, making our stay even more unpleasant.

To add to the disappointment, the breakfast provided by the hotel was dismal. It lacked any variety, with the same items being served every single day. This monotonous selection quickly became unappetizing and tiresome. For a hotel that presumably aims to cater to a diverse group of guests, the lack of effort in providing a varied and enjoyable breakfast was glaring.

The only redeeming aspect of our stay was the staff at the buffet area. They were genuinely friendly and made an effort to be nice to us and our daughter. Their kindness and professionalism stood in stark contrast to the behavior of the reception staff. However, their positive attitude was not enough to compensate for the multitude of issues we faced elsewhere in the hotel.

Overall, this experience was overwhelmingly negative, and I will never return to this hotel. The poor communication, lack of concern for guests, and the monotonous breakfast made our stay highly unsatisfactory. Proud is a comfortable place to sleep, super comfy beds and luxury beddings, and super clean.

Touched by cloth hanger at the balcony, they pay attention to little things.

Breakfast isn’t impressive but it’s ok. I don’t like Mayonnaise on salad.

I only want to share that the Hotel should pay attention on toilet shower, it could be an interrogation tools and harmful to guest’s anal…😅. Your Bathroom’s door should be installed at the other side so that it wouldn’t block the entrance , imagine if you are overweight ..moving to narrow entrance could be something horrible.

I always left the place in a nice conditions and I would like to support Hotel’s association to give feedback to guests as well…. who keep the room cleaned before leaving , give them a special rate. I would won this prize ;)

It tells a lot about your background from how you leaving the place like a seat on the plane and Hotel where you stay, so no matter how cool you look , how rich you are , if you leave the place terribly, you are nothing.

Thanks for the Hotel for your warm welcoming though I don’t like the policy of keeping 1,000 Baht as deposit extra from charging...

rooms: im impressed! super clean! weve checked in different hotels within the same price range, but this hotel is impressive and satisfied. i want to go back and checkin to this hotel again.

service: nothing much, this is not a 5 star hotel and we are not a picky guest, but the receptionist greeted us with smile. food wise, we dont mind if the hotel only serves basic breakfast buffet.

location: great! strategic! walking distance to terminal 21 mall and pattaya beach. there’s a 711 next to it and you can find cafes and restaurant nearby.

overall: to be honest, i dont post reviews that easily. but one thing that made me to decide to post review is that the coffee they served during breakfast is REALLY GOOD!!!. I’ved tasted coffee from different hotels weve gone to in Thailand, but so far only The Proud Hotel has the best. The coffee they have is comparable to those you can get from specialty coffee shops.
