If you’re in Koh Samui and craving authentic Thai flavors, don’t miss Noo Beer! This little local spot might not look like much from the outside it’s right off a fairly busy road and has a simple setup but don’t let that fool you. What it lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up for in taste.
The food is outstanding, made with love by a warm and talented older lady who clearly puts her heart into every dish. You can taste the tradition and care in every bite. We tried Shrimp and Tuna Fried rice, Shrimps in garlic sauce and Green Curry with chicken both were packed with rich, balanced flavors and cooked to perfection. I made sure to always give her a good tip as i felt she deserved more.
Prices are super reasonable, portions are generous, and the whole experience feels like a home-cooked meal. It’s one of those places that locals would eat at unpretentious, full of soul, and completely satisfying.
Noo Beer is a true hidden gem in Koh Samui. Highly recommend for anyone wanting real Thai food made the old-school way. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreFor everyone who is looking for the ORIGINAL that's the place. The old lady is running her Thai kitchen like mother at home. I never saw a street kitchen clean like this. Every move of her is mindful. She cooks every meal one by one. She cleans her pot always after cooking the one meal with dinking water. The quality of the products she uses is very good. There is nothing just laying around. After chopping the carrots she takes it in the very clean fridge. The price is a Thai price not a tourist price. I just wanted to got there for a good (not instant) nudle soup for lunch. Now I am sitting there every day (one month) for lunch and dinner and its alway a new surprise how much fun it is to eat what's on the plate. Go there and feel...
Read moreDelicious food! I accidentally got a more basic dish (rice w/ garlic pork) than I meant to, but it did not disappoint because the pork was cooked so beautifully! We also had the pad Thai and it was delicious.
It's a no frills restaurant on the side of the main road with absolutely delicious food. All run by a grandma who is incredibly sweet. I highly recommend coming here and supporting her! Fantastic prices as well, I don't think they can be beat.
You can park right before this restaurant (coming from Lamai main city) on a little driveway. Consider bringing some bug spray for the mosquitos. I only got one bite while I was there but would have been happier had I...
