Baimai Cafe Koh Tao — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

During our stay on Koh Tao we discovered this absolute gem and it quickly became our favorite spot on the island. From the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. The welcome was warm and genuine, the service incredibly fast and always with a smile. Even when the place was busy, our food and drinks came out quickly, fresh, and beautifully presented. The kitchen deserves special mention – every single dish we ordered tasted fantastic, made with high quality ingredients and seasoned just right. Portions were generous without feeling heavy, and there was always something delicious also for the little ones.

Traveling with a toddler can be challenging, but here we felt completely relaxed. The staff went out of their way to be children-friendly: they brought small extra plates, offered to adapt dishes, and kept checking if our daughter was comfortable. The atmosphere is casual yet attentive, so families can enjoy a meal without stress. That combination is rare to find and made a huge difference to us.

The drinks menu is just as impressive – refreshing juices, smoothies, cocktails and cold beers. Everything we tried tasted fresh, balanced, and exactly what you need after a hot day on the island.

Another highlight, which may sound unusual but is worth mentioning, are the guest facilities. The toilets are spotless, modern, and clearly maintained with care. It is easily the cleanest and best bathroom experience we have had anywhere on Koh Tao, which is a huge plus when traveling with kids.

All in all, this place sets the bar very high. Fantastic food, fast service, family-friendly attitude, great drinks, and attention to even the smallest details make it stand out. If you are on Koh Tao and want a place where everyone in the family feels welcome and well taken care of, this is the spot. We will definitely be back and recommend it wholeheartedly – five shining stars...

We walked into this cute little Café on our second day on Koh Tao and then came back almost every day because we loved it so much.

The food and drinks are great (we can especially recommend the Spicy Chai Latte, Paninis and Coconut Cookies) and we really loved the cute atmosphere in there.

But the best part is Haik, the owner of the place and her nice staff. She helped us with all our questions regarding diving and the island itself, but is also just a nice person to be around and talk to. We really enjoyed our chats whenever we were there and would come back anytime.

If I could give more stars I would! This place is one of the best places to get breakfast/lunch! We just stubbled upon it and we were sold right away. The owner is such a friendly woman and greets you with the most genuine smile. The food is freshly prepared with a lot of healthy vegetables and fruits. Also the cakes are outstanding. Oh and I had been looking for a good vegetable lasagne since I started travelling 3 months before and this was the place where I found it! It was even beyond my expectations! You just have to go there to experience it...
