Breeze Koh Tao is a fantastic, friendly, welcoming restaurant located on the beach in Mae Haad. The venue offers a diverse menu and caters to Vegan, Vegetarian tastes, in addition to a range of popular international food choices.
I first visited Breeze over 2 years ago when visiting Koh Tao and I have been stuck here for the last 3 months during this Covid pandemic and have been eating at Breeze for pretty much the past 3 months, almost every day.
I have had the take-away service, deliveries, breakfasts, lunches, wraps, evening meals and desserts and since they are now allowed to open again, I eat in.
Over 3 months, as you can imagine, I have become accustomed to great food and excellent customer service.
I read the previous review post made by a Jason somebody about the Gnocci and his comments are atrocious, totally misleading and the guy needs to get a life and learn to communicate with people.
The fact the guy told blatant lies and left a 'wink' at the end of his review sums it up really, like he is trying to acknowledge and impress someone?
So today I wanted to eat the Gnocci and show the meal in daylight. I don't see any disgusting, tins, vomit and yes Jason - the sea view really is fantastic.
I noticed that Jason is a 'Google Local Guide' - (a points chaser) - these are people that review venues to 'chase points' so they can increase their level of authority and earn rewards (petty ones like worthless discounts) from Google, regardless if the review is positive or negative.
These sort of people (not always) have issues with their own low self worth, quite often have issues with rejection, an inferiority complex and seek self gratification at the expense of others - yes, you guessed it - the symptoms are glaringly obvious.
Jason, get a life (a real one) - your review is a blatant lie - in the cold light of day. I only hope that the owners of Breeze highlight these facts in their reply.
I also hope you check this review (if you can read English), including your family members, girl (or boyfriends) see it for what it is and for what you are - an arrogant, ignorant, bare-faced liar.
You are clearly a person who seems to get some pleasure from placing lies in the public domain, knowing that this is someone's livelihood and business that they feed their family and pay their staff with - you are what I would call, a toxic member of society.
The arrogant wink at the end of the review is the big giveaway, it tells me exactly the sort of person you are.
I am offended by your review and have flagged it to Google, purely because I have eaten so much of the food at Breeze, I know how it is prepared, served, what it tastes like and so on.
As any 'honest Google Local Guide' should do, I have posted some pictures of the Gnocci before and the empty plate (and the seaview).
I highly recommend the Gnocci to anyone and if you are a restauranteur on Koh Tao, watch out for this numpty 'points chaser' - as he wants to ruin your day.

Read moreBreeze Koh Tao is located right by the beach in Mae Haad. An idyllic location for a restaurant, it serves some excellent dishes. Being from San Francisco, I am somewhat spoilt with choice and quality of food. I have visited Breeze and eaten dinner or stopped by mid-afternoon for a coffee and a slice of cake. The food is of a very high quality and very unique for a small island in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand.
On one visit, I tried the Fish and Chips. It was made in a traditional style. The fish used was fresh and of an amazing quality. The breading on the fish was light, crispy and flavorful. It was accompanied by crispy and fluffy chips and mushy peas. A very satisfying meal!
I've also sampled the offerings from the desert and can report that my finding were 'amazing'. I usually don't like carrot cake - but the one from Breeze is just excellent. It is served on a thin layer of melted caramel with a scoop of coconut ice cream. The cake is topped with glazed walnuts, All in all the moistness of the cake and the crunchiness of the nuts results in a 'symphony' of flavors from this desert.
All in all having eaten several times at Breeze, I would not hesitate to give it a five-star rating and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to eat...
Read moreThe only thing I really enjoyed about being here was the spectacular sunset view on my birthday.
I made a reservation for just myself since I was celebrating my birthday, alone, on the island. I even let them know through the email reservation that it was my birthday.
I ordered the shrimp appetizer, homemade pumpkin ravioli, then banana bread cake with ice cream for dessert. I wasn't blown away by any of it. The appetizer & entree had a bunch of onions & unpeeled garlic in it - so the flavors didn't stand out to much of anything.
I think the greatest disappointment was that there was nothing to make me feel special at all. No birthday wishes from staff or written on the dessert, or complimentary dessert of any sorts.
For being voted so highly on this island, I really expected so much more. It wasn't even busy - I was the only one there for a long time. I was so sad & disappointed with dinner, that I went to get a massage to help make me feel better.
Everything really fell short here & I don't think I'll be coming...
