Come here from the good reviews. Unsure if they were having a bad day but looking at a lot of other lower scored reviews perhaps not. As many people seem to have had a similar experience to what we had. First of all the waiters were unbelievably rude, didn't speak or look at us just plonked our food on the table, even though we were nothing but polite. Served our food way before our drinks.
I ordered a thai green curry fried rice with chicken and vegetables. I got vegetable fried rice with no chicken at all. Was very confused as to why it's advertised as a curry with chicken when that is not what it is at all. It was vegetable rice with curry flavour no curry sauce or chicken meat. My partner also ordered a chicken macaroni pasta, she got a cheese tomato fuselli pasta with one tiny piece of chicken. I think the restaurant is confused with what these dishes are. Ordering meals as advised to then be served a completely different meal is very strange I've never had this in any restaurant before. Do not recommend. Staff also standing near people's table playing loud videos on their phone flicking through. And service really slow considering the restaurant was...
Read moreBy far my favourite restaurant on the island. The coconut soup with herbs and seafood is amazing. Prices are low to moderate, and while the waiters have very low english understanding, the menu has english and pictures, and you can simply just point at what you want to the waiter. I almost prefer that they have a low english comprehension, since it makes the place feel more authetic and less touristy than other places. I really enjoyed eating on the upper section, where you sit on floor cushions, but my mother had some issues with the floor being a little bouncey, due to her bad back, so we sat at the tables for most of our meals. Overall, we kept coming back and made it a point to have our last meal on the island here. If I ever make it back to Koh Tao, I know where I'm going right away once...
Read moreFast, low-priced good Thai food served by kind waiters. You will have to search a bit in every village, city or island of Thailand before you find the best Thai food in the area. We have been here for over 6 weeks now, and always end up at Pranees again and again. I also see a lot of company groups eating and ordering from here. I'd personally place an order no later than 20:50pm to make sure I'm out before it closes. I enjoyed the green curry bowl which has a bite to it. Probably will request less Thai basil next time. Prices are very affordable compared to many other places. Some meals I had were around 100 Baht plus the price of...
