What a great time! It was the first visit for my son and I to the park. It was easy enough to get to. As easy as anything in that congested area. We got there just a little after opening on a Sunday. The person at check in was very nice. Wasn't over crowded at all, even when the parties started coming in. The workers throughout the park were nice enough and handled all the kids well. I loved that they let the smallest of kids take laps by themselves so as not to get flattened by the older kids. I think next time though I'll ask if I can "race" with them just to give them a little "competition". I never knew my son would take to it like that. He's 12, and the cars had just enough speed to make you feel like you were really racing and not enough to throw you out on the side of the track. I had a blast when I could keep up with him. Poor go-kart didn't have quite as much pep dragging my big ole butt around the track! It was plenty though. Concessions were pleasantly priced. You didn't feel like they were trying to pay their next months gas bill with one drink. If I had one thing that wasn't quite up to what I expected, it was the restrooms. (And by restrooms, I mean two Porta Johns.) the conditions inside kind of surprised me since we were there so early. I would say they were for emergency use only. You do have a monstrous mall beside the park with plenty of facilities inside. Otherwise, the unlimited package was more than worth it. Next time, we're going to try to play some putt putt too. It looked very well taken care of and fun. Certainly a worthwhile drive for us. Can't wait to get back down!

Prices are higher than I feel like they should be, but better than some other local go kart track facilities. I only experienced the regular karts with my son, who is 8, not the fastest ones they have so I'm basing this review off those. We waited in line for what seems like forever to get our tickets. Then waited in line even longer to get in the karts. So long my son almost changed his mind about the whole ordeal. The karts were mostly fast, considering the fact, and handled well. I had fun trying to catch up to my son and even more when I passed him on the second lap and was looking forward to giving him a chance to catch up when.... Bam a few seconds later, karts slow to a crawl and we're told to go into the pit, the "race" is over. That's right, 2 laps for $20. And each lap takes about 30-45 seconds to complete. So that's an expensive and time consuming 2 minute race. My son was extremely happy afterwards and just wanted to ride again, of course, so I let him do a ride by himself, and for some reason that group was allowed 5 laps which only confused us and made me wonder if we got ripped off the first time. Long story short, I would recommend the experience if you've got the money to blow and can go on a slow day when there's no lines. I'd recommend the wrist bands, and buying them in advance.

When they say no bumping they do not mean everyone.. had one person using the karts purely as bumper karts.. caused a wreck bad enough to make my glasses fly off and break; the gas peddle got stuck down in to the go position; and I ended up againt the rails basically laying down in the kart (safety concern!!!! horrible seatbelts...) told the gentleman when he checked on us that the person needs to not be allowed to get on the tracks again, he said he would handle it and to point him out.. My group all had complaints about him just bumping to bump.. but guess who continued to race.. HIM!!! Let's now talk about the karts: some of their brakes don't work at all and some of the seat belts don't fasten.. definitely race at your own risk. THEN we have the bathroom situation. DEPLORABLE is an understatement. In the park's vicinity are only port-a-potties. That wouldn't be an issue if there wasn't fecal matter all over the seat and walls!!! I will not return to this park!!! Sorry not sorry!! As someone said before: there are reasons they say no refunds!!!

Speedpark was an accessible attraction, being that it was located just outside Concord-Mills mall, but as a past ride operator I have some safety concerns. A couple of the attractions were poorly staffed. We waited at the slide for an attendant to take our tickets for 10 minutes. Then we just let ourselves in the gate. My biggest concern is with the lack of safety supervision on the go karts. A family of teens and children were continually slamming into one another and me all over the track and no one stepped in. They continued to let the kids ride multiple times while they continued to purposely bump each other pulling into the station. Manager was too busy yelling into a walkie about a family he seemed to be racially profiling about stealing bracelets to correct these behaviors. Minigolf was themed with Nascar facts so it was neat and the hole layouts varied enough to make it interesting.

What an incredible deal for the family! The regular price is far better than most of the indoor tracks in the area. While it doesn't have a "white glove" atmosphere like the indoor cart tracks, neither does real racing! No computerized race times and tracking, just good old fun carting. Several tracks available for different age groups and if you get their UNLIMITED pass, it is as many races as you can handle. Lines were short when we visited so the kids got at least a dozen races each... cannot beat that deal. Plus there's a climbing tower, mini golf, a slide, and bungee for the younger kids. We had a blast. The staff was friendly and helped find the best deal for our group. The courses were challenging and all of the carts were in good shape. We all had such a good time that I intend to look into doing a party here and will let you know how it works out. We will be back.
