First and foremost, I have to say that Alex is an absolute rockstar. From the moment I walked into The Escape Game, he made me feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. He was enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful in every way possible.

Alex's passion for escape rooms is truly infectious. He clearly loves what he does and he's fantastic at it. He's extremely knowledgeable about all of the different games and he's always happy to answer any questions or offer suggestions. He even gave us some great tips for our game that helped us escape with time to spare!

But what really sets Alex apart is his attention to detail. He went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was memorable and enjoyable. He took the time to explain the rules and objectives of the game clearly and concisely, and he made sure that we were comfortable with everything before we started. Throughout the game, he was always available to offer hints or guidance, but he never gave too much away, which made the victory all the sweeter.

Overall, I would highly recommend The Escape Game to anyone looking for a fun, challenging, and engaging experience, and I would especially recommend working with Alex. We have done all but one of the rooms here, and I can gladly say that this is my favorite escape room establishment in the area. The playground was such a fun throwback to elementary school. Special Ops was more challenging and we were given a little bit of a redemption time to escape because we were SO close. Gold rush was challenging and creative and we especially loved the frogs inside. Prison break was SUPER fun and required a lot of collaboration as we usually do these rooms just the two of us and we escaped with 30 seconds left. The game masters are super helpful and often will go above and beyond to help you get out if you’re struggling. Abel is always there with a super exciting demeanor and told us he’s been with this company for many years now. He’s a wonderful face to the adventure, and even offered us free merch for doing many of the rooms back to back. I would HIGHLY recommend The Escape Game to anyone who has never done a room or has done many! The rooms are very detailed and are more linear than most i’ve done in the Charlotte area, and will often offer weekday discounts as well as same day discounts for booking multiple rooms. My husband and I had the best time here - we did the Gold Rush room! We have gone to quite a few "escape room" type experiences - it's fair to say The Escape Game Concord is now our ultimate favorite place here in metro Charlotte. Don't look at the number of reviews because they JUST opened this week (and already have around TWENTY 5 star reviews).

It was just me and my husband when we played Gold Rush. I would say the room is great for about 4-5 players at a time.

In the past, we have had difficulties with game hosts not speaking clearly or communicating well which can affect the game. When asking for a clue at TEG, they will prompt a response/clue on a screen so you read quickly and work through a challenge. For those who appreciate strategic game play and problem solving, the games are designed for you to be challenged BUT have a good time. For those who like less critical thinking, don't worry - these rooms are SUPER FUN! If you get a chance to view their videos of behind the scenes (making props, their HQ), you'll truly appreciate how much thought and work that went behind each of the rooms. I have never loved an escape room to this level.
