The Venkateshwaraswamy temple established by TTD as a prayer hall in the year 1975 in t nagar now stands as a temple, where hoards of devotees take out time to have a lovely darshan of Venkateshwara swamy I have been in Chennai for the last 5 years but have never been to this Temple. This temple is conveniently situated just half kilometre from panagal Park in t nagar the half kilometre walk towards the temple is pleasant given a lot of old trees exist and gives shade to the walkers. There is a shoe stand outside the temple where you can place your slippers and shoes. timings are provided for sarva darshanam 830 am to 11 am. 11:45 to 2 pm. 4 pm to 9 pm with a 45 minutes gap at 6 pm On Tuesdays wednesdays and thursdays the afternoon darshan stops at 1:30 p.m. instead of 2:00 p.m. I have been to the temple on a Saturday there was not too much of rush I had a peaceful darshan There is a replica of bangaru vakili, and swami stands by, flanked to his right is padmavathi Devi, to his left are smaller utsava idol. I believe it is the same structure as thirumala The idol of swami is much smaller when compared to thirumala, but it always feels good to be to swamis temple. As you go around for a parikrama, I noticed that there is a free eye checking facility A counter to book tickets for darshan at tirumala Once the parikrama is complete, there is one book publication shop Most important thing that I noticed is at this Temple you get tirupati laddu, same as the laddu available at thirumala I got my 2020 diary the calendars were not available As I stepped out, I noticed beggers, palmists who would try to strike a conversation saying there is a good news news waiting in next three weeks. If you do not respond they would talk about raghavendra swamy temple and ask contribution for annadanam. If you don't wish to engage with them silently Walk off. Just by the side of the temple there is a shop which arranges for one day trip to tirumala along with the rs 300 darshan. They charge rupees 1800 which is inclusive of breakfast journey darshan and coming back to Chennai Tickets might not be available online, but if you go via this route you are sure to have a darshan with a lag time of three days. I.e if you go on 18 th jan then you can book for 21st jan There are good eateries near the temple notably saravana Bhavan and Sri Krishna sweets

Visiting the TTD temple in T. Nagar is a truly divine experience, as the ambiance evokes the same peace and reverence felt at Tirumala. The sight of Lord Venkateswara Swamy, paired with the traditional prasadam laddu, brings a sense of familiarity and devotion. The laddu, identical in taste and tradition to the ones from Tirumala, is a delightful highlight. However, there are areas for improvement in the temple's management. Firstly, maintaining higher standards of hygiene would enhance the spiritual experience for devotees. Additionally, the lack of digital payment options for purchasing prasadam, with only cash being accepted, was disappointing. Paying ₹100 for two laddus without receiving a receipt raised concerns about transparency. I hope the temple management considers enabling UPI payments and providing receipts for all transactions, which would foster trust and convenience for devotees. Despite these minor issues, the temple is a wonderful place to experience the blessings of Lord Venkateswara right here in Chennai.

Tirupati Alipiri is one of two ways to reach Tirumala on foot,[1] and it was until recently the only one in modern times. Srivari Mettu, about 20 km away, is the original one that was renovated and brought back to use in 2008. Alipiri is the longer route with 3550 steps,[2] Srivari Mettu is shorter with 2388 steps. Alipiri is also the foot of two road ways, one up and one down leading to Tirumala through the Seven Hills. It is therefore called "The Gate Way to Tirumala Venkateswara Temple"[3] A long time ago, pilgrims used to climb all Seven Hills through the stepped way on foot because there were no other options. Pilgrims would visit from far away, cook and eat there and rest for some time. After resting, they would start to climb the steps.[4] Now the entire stepped way is covered with a roof to protect pilgrims from sunlight and rain. Lights are also provided. Special privilege is provided to the pilgrims who came on foot to visit the Lord

I've had the privilege of visiting Tirumala for the second consecutive year, with my visit falling between the last week of August last year and the first week of September this year. My darshan was booked for September 6th, which coincided with the auspicious Krishnastami holiday. While I anticipated some crowds, it was a bit more crowded than expected. The 300 Special Darshan, which I opted for, took close to 4 hours. If you're planning a trip, I highly recommend booking your accommodation in advance to ensure a comfortable stay. Alternatively, consider staying in Tirupati and starting your journey to Tirumala early the next morning. The spiritual experience is undoubtedly worth the effort, but a little planning can go a long way in enhancing your visit.

My friend was asking me to come visit chennai tirupati since we where studying UG, I completed my Higher studies too till he was inviting me, I used to reply I will come since I ever known , after a very long wait , Balaji finally called me made me visit his devasthana, such a blessing. Parking was a problem but as I crossed the temple I immediately get the parking spot, we entered and had a very close dharsan so blessed we are. They have holy water and kumkum. They sold laddu for 100 per packet. After a very long gap such a peace of mind😍 and very powerful too my friend on Saturday did the dharsan and gave his interview on the next day Sunday and he got placed ⚡. Do wear a mask, your bakthi need not to be proved without masks.

Very crowded when I visited, but I could see Lord Venkateswara Swamy for a minute. Every Saturday, Srivari Laddu made in Tirumala is sold here at the same price as in Tirumala—₹50. The taste is the same, but it may not have the same freshness since it takes two days to dispatch and arrive at the Chennai temple. I got a three-day-old laddu. If you observe the laddu trays, you can check the manufacture date. It’s fine for immediate consumption or up to 1-2 days more, but it may spoil after that. If you miss Tirumala Laddu, you can get it here on Saturdays. The temple is just 1 km from T Nagar bus stand. You can walk or take bus 11 or 13 from the bus stand.
