I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent experience I had at your restaurant – Padmam Hotel, T. Nagar – on our visit linked to Bill No. 69075. We had previously visited your hotel and were impressed with the quality and taste of the food, which led us to return with high expectations. Unfortunately, this visit turned out to be extremely unsatisfactory.
Issues Faced: Delay in Service:
Our order took around 25 to 30 minutes to be served, which is unusually long, especially when the restaurant wasn’t crowded.
Poor Food Quality: We ordered Paneer Butter Masala and Paneer Fried Rice.
Instead of paneer, tofu was used, which was tasteless and rubbery. It was clearly not the dish we ordered.
The food was served cold, lacked any real flavor, and did not meet even basic expectations.
Unhygienic Serving Conditions:
Plates provided were oily and dirty. We had to clean them with tissue paper ourselves before eating. There were no serving spoons provided for either the gravy or rice.
Overpriced and Not Worth the Cost:
We were charged Rs.926 for just 4 naans, one paneer (tofu) butter masala, and one paneer (tofu) fried rice.
The pricing does not match the portion, quality, or overall experience. It is neither budget-friendly nor justified.
Poor Staff Service: The staff was unresponsive and indifferent. No assistance was offered after serving the food, nor did they check if everything was okay.
Food businesses are service-oriented, and customer satisfaction should be your priority – not just charging high prices for low-quality food and poor service.
Kindly look into this matter seriously. Improve the food quality, ensure hygienic practices, train your staff for better customer service, and maintain fair pricing. We paid for a good experience and received none.
Based on this visit, I will not recommend your restaurant to anyone unless there is a significant...

Here’s a review for those dishes:
Restaurant Review:
I recently dined at padmam, and I was eager to try a selection of their dishes. Here’s my take on each one:
Onion Rava Dosa: This crispy dosa was a highlight of the meal. The golden-brown exterior had the perfect crunch, while the onions added a delightful sweetness. Paired with coconut chutney and sambar, it made for a satisfying start.
Baby Corn 65: A fantastic appetizer, the Baby Corn 65 was perfectly seasoned with a spicy batter that delivered a nice crunch. The dish was vibrant and flavorful, offering a great balance of heat and texture.
Paneer Fried Rice: This dish was hearty and comforting, featuring well-cooked rice with generous chunks of paneer. The flavors were robust, though I would have liked a bit more seasoning to elevate it further.
Padmam Spl Fried Rice: This was another delightful offering, combining various vegetables and spices. It was colorful and fragrant, with just the right amount of spice to keep things interesting. A great complement to any curry or dish.
Chef Mariappan is fabulous and he insisted to have drumstick soup of his known signature dishes was taste too good... which showcases their creativity and dedication to flavor. Overall, padmam provides a wonderful array of flavors and textures. Each dish was well-prepared, making it a great spot for fans of Indian cuisine. I’ll definitely return to explore more...
Read moreI visited this restaurant two weeks ago with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was soured by the owner/manager’s rude behavior. We had a quick lunch as we were on our way to continue shopping, and we made sure to finish promptly without lingering. After paying the bill, I was checking for any spare change to tip the server and the person who cleared our plates. That’s when the owner rudely told us, "Ezhundari da kanna" (translated to "get up" in English).
When I questioned his tone and asked if that was how he speak to customers, he responded by saying he had said it “kindly” and didn’t even offer an apology for his behavior. I’m visiting India from the U.S., and this encounter really spoiled our mood as a family. In all my years of dining out, I’ve never experienced such unprofessionalism, especially when even the busiest restaurants don’t rush customers in such a manner. There were not more customers waiting outside other than one group, so I don’t understand why he felt the need to be so rude.
If he’s not able to be patient and respectful in his role, perhaps he should reconsider working in the restaurant industry. This place is no better than any other, and the owner’s immature attitude really left a bad...
