All of good will are welcome to stop in off of Istiklal Caddesi and see this wonderful church, perhaps sit in the pews to relax or pray, or look at the amazing Neo-Gothic architecture. It is always heartening to see so many locals cheerfully visiting and learning about the church. There is also a collection of Turkish-language literature available for free or almost free, including church-authorized Turkish translations of the New Testament (İncil 3TL), the Torah and the Psalms (Tevrat & Zebur, 5TL). Kilisenin Türkçe olarak cevırdıgı İncil, Zebur ve Tevrat'ı bedava veya çok uygun fıyatlara bulup okuyabilirsiniz. English Mass is every Sunday at 10:00am, and other languages and Mass times can be found on their website. The Franciscan priests, nuns and parishioners of this faith community work hard to serve the local poor and refugees. A great way to help refugees and make friends is by becoming involved with this wonderful church. God bless!

Daily mass at 8 AM in English and 7 PM in Turkish, but I came for the 7 PM on Monday and they don’t have it then :-) Celebrated daily mass on Saturday morning 8 am here and loved it! Note, you have to go to the back right of the church where there is a small chapel to celebrate. The mass was in English. Also, grab a song book to sing the hymns with them. There weren’t page numbers, but thankfully they kept pointing out which song I needed to sing :-) I love the intimacy of that small chapel. I also saw that a wedding was being set up to be celebrated later and that looked gorgeous. I would love if they had more masses, in order to come here for Sunday mass. See pictures for mass times. The timing just didn’t work for me. Maybe next trip to Istanbul! The priest was very kind and generous. The servers looked like seminarians and they should be great priests someday! Please come here. You will not regret it. God bless you! Peace, Joshua

In the middle of Istiklal street, the crowds, the shops and shouting outside lays this iconic historical church. I had the privilege to visit it on Christmas eve for Christmas mass and celebration. The vibes, decoration and prayers were from another world when you’re coming from the street in front of it. It is always a pleasure seeing a church full of believers, piano and choir were amazing, the architecture is so unique and I hope everybody can work together to protect this iconic church. Yet outside some irresponsible and disgraceful people were throwing their garbage at the door and in the palace, people from all religions were inside for pictures and I’ve seen a lot of disrespectful behaviour inside a holy place, the authorities should be taking care of that and put rules at the door at least. I hope this place will last forever and be protected and safe.

St. Anthony of Padua Church, located in the heart of Istanbul's bustling Istiklal Avenue, is a serene church featuring neo-gothic architecture. Known locally as Sent Antuan Kilisesi, this is the largest Roman Catholic church in Istanbul. Inside, the church exudes a peaceful and solemn atmosphere, with its elegant stained-glass windows and ornate altar creating a sense of reverence. As it's Christmas, the church was also decorated with Christmas deco. It's a symbolic melting pot of diverse congregants, reflecting Istanbul's multicultural fabric. The church not only serves as a place of worship but also as a symbol of coexistence and tolerance in a historically diverse city.

I came with my wife from the USA. It’s a beautiful church!! I love how it’s hidden from the street and has a beautiful courtyard as you come in. They have a display showcasing the history of St Francis’ encounter with the Sultan as you come in the church - which is wonderful to be informed about that. There are always visitors coming in to see the church, honestly which Is nice because I know Jesus wants them to know him!! They church has a good daily schedule which you can see on a picture I posted. As of July 2021: English Mon-Sat 9am daily mass English Sunday 10am Mass They have a wonderful Polish priest who speaks English very well. Highly recommended.
