20.5.2019.I walked the hill, all the way up,through the old part of town. The hill needed to be climbed,if only to understand the view. Tread gently your footsteps my friend, for they are my memories.I was curious about the coloured houses and discovered it's where the poor people live. The monument at the top could do with some paint as well as some tender loving care.Great views though and a very easy walk down the other side of the hill(probably not so easy going up)will bring you out by a big hotel at the bottom of the hill.(Seabank??? I can't remember) Do not walk the route i took at night.I read on one review the monument area isn't safe at night. The route up was safe enough during daylight but you need to be very very fit and healthy.Most...

On the 17/04/22 at 10:45 am we arrived by foot and the security guard in the gate charged us with 15 TRY per person. We requested a ticket that of course he didn't have because the money was for him. The authorities must fight this type of cheap corruption that disturb tourists so much, it was like charging us to visit a square.

The place has a very nice view but is very dirty and the grass hasn't been cut in...

This lookout place with the large statue is very potential. The view you get is breathtaking. However, it is very difficult to walk up here. You can easily get lost through the complex stairs and the road. Maybe the city government will build an easy and well signed post stairs up the hill. Finally, I felt so sorry that so much littering, bottles, cigarette butts everywhere. They are the reasons I need to...

What a shame! A fabulous monument and view of Pigeon Castle but..... The walk up is not the easiest but it's part of the journey so no negatives there as you can take a taxi. So much rubbish everywhere though! This is like walking through slums. And when you get to the top it is even worse!! So much broken glass and rubbish everywhere. Such such a shame.

A guided statue of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881-1938), founding father of the Republic of Turkey and its first president, stands on a hilltop overlooking Kusadasi in western Turkey.
