The staff alone deserve 5 stars as they were so accommodating to me while dining here. As a vegan, I was struggling trying to find just about any restaurant that had options for me to eat. So when I read reviews that this place had some options I headed straight there. Very easy to find using Google maps which I recommend as going through the maze of streets in this city can get you turned around.
Right as I entered the restaurant, the staff were very kind in seating me right away. I asked about their vegan options and although there weren't many, they were still able to point out some modifications on their dishes they could do to make it work. This was really satisfying to hear.
Additionally, I saw other tables being served some freshly made pita bread that you can see them making right behind the counter. At first I was sad to hear that it was not vegan and does contain eggs, but to my surprise, they brought out some freshly made pita with out the egg to accommodate me. Its very rare I see restaurants go the extra mile to make their customers happy and I truly appreciated it. The food was very tasty as well when it came out. The portion size was plenty for me and I honestly needed a togo box.
Would definitely come back again to enjoy such...
Read moreCannot even begin to describe how amazing this place was! We came here due to the great google reviews and were shocked to see it empty, but we sat down anyway. We took a while to figure out what we wanted but our server was very patient and gave us time to decide. We settled on the Lahmacun and erzincan gökkaya kebab special. While we were waiting, they brought out complimentary pillow bread that was fluffy and moist and absolutely delicious. The Lahmacun was so flavorful and cooked to perfection, and the kebap special was unreal. We were so full but kept on eating because it was just so delicious.
After asking for the check, our waiter offered us a beverage on the house and we went with our recently discovered favorite, apple tea. It was such a nice gesture and the tea was delicious. The price point is also a quarter of what we have paid elsewhere for far less quality, so that was just the cherry on top! We wish we had found this place at the beginning of our trip because we would have come back every night for dinner!
The restaurant isn’t where it says it is on google maps, but if you go to that location there are signs pointing to where it is and it isn’t...
Read moreWe recently dined at this restaurant and spent 2400 Turkish lira on what we expected to be a quality meal, but sadly, it fell far short of our expectations. We ordered the lamb meat in a clay pot and grilled chicken wings, but both dishes were extremely disappointing.
The lamb dish was more of a vegetable stew than a meat dish. There was hardly any lamb, and what little there was lacked flavor entirely. For a dish that's supposed to be rich and savory, it tasted bland and uninspired. The imbalance of vegetables to meat was frustrating, especially given the high price.
As for the grilled chicken wings, they were undercooked, leaving the texture unpleasant. We expected juicy, well-seasoned wings, but instead got a lackluster and poorly executed dish.
For 2400 TL, we anticipated much better quality and cooking. Sadly, this was one of the most overpriced and underwhelming meals we've had. We would not recommend this place, especially given the disappointing food for the...
