Visiting Cumhuriyet Meydanı as a foreigner was an unforgettable experience that left a lasting impression. This central square is the vibrant heart of Kayseri, beautifully combining history, culture, and modern life. Surrounded by significant landmarks, it offers a unique chance to delve into Turkey’s rich heritage. One of the highlights for me was Kayseri Castle, an impressive structure with a history dating back to Roman and Seljuk times. Walking through its well-preserved walls felt like traveling through history. Another memorable spot was the Hunat Hatun Mosque nearby, a stunning example of Seljuk architecture that added a sense of peace and beauty to my visit. The square is also home to Kayseri's largest and oldest bazaar, a must-see for anyone who enjoys exploring lively markets. It’s a bustling hub filled with spices, local delicacies, handcrafted items, and textiles, providing a perfect way to immerse yourself in the local culture and take home unique souvenirs.. Cumhuriyet Meydanı is more than just a square—it’s a cultural and historical treasure. With its welcoming locals, lively atmosphere, and stunning views of Mount Erciyes, it’s a place every visitor to Kayseri should experience. Recommended place for tourists

Right at the heart of Kayseri, there are so many beatiful sights to see, and everything you can imagine is within walking distance, the famous Forum shopping mall, various reataurants all sorts of shops, even a gunrange if you're feeling like doing some target practice or letting off some steam. One tip, don't give the beggars anything.

This is the main and the biggest square in Kayseri. It is dominated by the central big Mosque with its two minarets. The Mosque is the newer one dating back to Ottoman era, while the older one (and smaller) Ulu Mosque from Seljuk period is back by the bazaar. Behind the square is the Kayseri Castle and bazaar

Bad experience, be careful with tourist hunters, this people are just waiting to see tourist walking around pretending to be a nice person and convinced you to go to their stores. This old guy took me to his ugly carpet store with lies, I didn't buy and then he started to disrespected me, I wanted to hurt him badly but I would get arrested probably corrupt cops are behind this scams too, so.i I just left while this old scamer was yelling at me from his stinky store. Don't come to turkey, is the land of...
