We went to this hotel with my family and had communicating rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a nice view of the mountain. However the food at the veranda restaurant left me and my son sick with food poisoning, we had high fever, stomachache and threw up all night, i don't recommend eating there to anyone. Plus, at first they were going to serve us all the same food without letting us any choice and without even knowing what it is, i've never seen in my life a hotel serving the same dinner to everyone without even telling the clients what they're going to put in their mouth !! And the man in charge of the restaurant was not friendly either by the way, all this to finally eat old meat and fish that made us sick. The staff wasn't very friendly either and seemed bothered by us except for one lady that spoke good english at the counter that did her best to help us. All in all, the hotel is not bad but don't eat there unless you want to spend a very bad week afterwards havind diarrhea and vomiting and i hope the staff improves their relationship with clients because...
Read moreBefore I check in holiday inn at Kayseri. I have read many reviews about this hotel. I was anxious after reading some negative reviews about the language barrier with staff and dull breakfast. But I have experienced no problems at all. There is always a staff member speaks fluent English at reception. The cleaners and waiters speaks less English but always smile at you, and very willing to assist. The breakfast is Turkish breakfast with a huge variety of cheese, veggies salads, fresh local fruits and all sorts of cereals and honey. Yes, there is no full English breakfast or black tea with milk. But we are in Turkey, and Turkish breakfast is very healthy and delicious. I absolutely enjoyed it. The hotel is located in the city center Kayseri. Some shops around. I managed find a hairdresser and had a nice haircut. I went to local Hunat mosque and sightseeing. There is a lovely restaurant called Maide 2 minutes walk away. To me, it was a pleasant stay. And holiday inn has become an excellent base for me to explore the city. I highly recommend you to...
We were there from February 21st to 28th. The hotel is nice, cozy and quite compact: there are two restaurants (on the ground floor for dinner and on the roof for breakfast). Everywhere is clean, good housekeeping. Hotel has spa (sauna, Turkish bath, massage rooms) and a gym. On the ground floor located Starbucks. The hotel staff tries to be attentive and often asks if everything is fine with you and how they can improve the service. Also, some things were left without proper control. Of the minuses: Not all staff speak English, only manager Anastasia knows Russian. Same dinner and breakfast every day, but there are many items of fresh herbs and sweets. The restaurant is not replenished as often as we would like. Constant mess with transfers to the resort. As Anastasia explained to us, you must first sign up for a transfer so that the hotel understands how many cars they need to order. But the NOBODY checks the lists of people who signed up, and even if you booked yourself a seat at 8:30, it can be easily taken by someone who didn’t, in which case you will wait an hour for the next car. Another minus is the cars themselves, in which the trunk is either very small or it has no trunk at all and they throw all your skiis and snowboards into the aisle. To summarize, I would like to return to the hotel if the management decides all the above nuances. I hope this helps someone...
