Büyük Hotel — Hotel in Melikgazi

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and friends for just one night in January after a long day sking at Ercyes Mount. It´s a simple but nice hotel in a good location with a good price. We took 35 min from there to the ski station.||The staff was really supportive, even most of them don´t speak english, they were kind helped us with everything we needed.||Good value for money, nice and really cheap breakfast (only 5 tl per person) with a good view of the mountain. The rooms was clean, confortable and have heating and aircondicioning. Bathroom a little bit small but clean and with a good shower. Some friend complained about the room smelling cigar but in my room I didin´t have this problem. They have a parking for free. I would reccomend this hotel and would stay there again if I come...

İnanılmaz memnun kaldığımız iki gün geçirdik. Oteli, temizliği ile alakalı yorumlar sebebiyle tercih ettik. Beklediğimizden çok daha güzel bir hizmet aldık. Otel odalarından tutun kahvaltı salonuna kadar her taraf tertemiz pırıl pırıldı. Otel çalışanlarının isimlerini bilmesem de hepsine çok teşekkür ediyorum. Her konuda çok yardımcı oldular ve hepsi çok güler yüzlülerdi. Gelecek sene büyük ailemizle tekrar gelmek istiyoruz. MERKEZİ KONUM Otel şehrin merkezinde bulunuyor. Tarihi Kayseri lisesine,kaleye, etnografya müzesine ve daha pek çok yere yürüme mesafesinde. Otobüs ve dolmuşlarda Kayseri kart geçiyor. İçine internet üzerinden HES kodu eşleştirip kullanıyorsunuz. Erciyes Dağı'na kaymaya gitmek için otele 10 dakika yürüme mesafesindeki otobüsü(04 numaralı) ya da Develi dolmuşlarını kullanabilirsiniz. PANDEMİ DÖNEMİ Otel pandemi koşullarında takdire şayan bir hizmet veriyor. El dezenfektanları otelin pek çok yerinde mevcut. Kahvaltı salonunda açık büfe şu sıra pandemi dolayısıyla yok. Dilediğiniz taktirde 25 tl karşılığında hazırlanan kahvaltı tabağını talep edebilirsiniz. Dilerseniz kahvaltı ya da akşam yemeğini dışarıdan söyleyip kahvaltı salonunda yiyebilirsiniz. ÖNERİ Otele rezervasyon yaptırmadan önce sigara içilmeyen odalardan birini talep edin. Sigara içmeyen biri için oda kokusu rahatsız edici olabilir.

CENTRAL LOCATION The hotel is in the city center. It is within a walking distance of the historical Kayseri high school, castle, ethnography museum, and many more. Kayseri card is used to travel by buses and minibusses. You should match your HES code with your Kayseri card over the internet. To go to Erciyes Mountain, you can use the bus (number 04) or Develi minibusses within 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. DURING PANDEMIC The hotel provides an admirable service under pandemic conditions. Hand sanitizers are available in many parts of the hotel. There is no open buffet in the breakfast room right now due to the pandemic. If you wish, you can request a breakfast plate prepared for 25 TL. Also, you can order breakfast or dinner from restaurants nearby and have it in the breakfast room. A LITTLE ADVICE Before booking the hotel, request one of the non-smoking rooms. Positives – This hotel is in the city centre. We booked a family room which was basic but spacious and clean. We stayed in Kayseri for one night as we had to catch an early flight the next day. We found out once we were in Goreme that were could have caught the shuttle early to make it in time for flight. It’s a 1-hour trip from Goreme to Kayseri airport. If we had our time again we would have taken this option as we did not enjoy Kayseri.||||Negatives – the staff were nice but not one word of English was spoke by any of the staff which made it difficult to communicate. However, we got around this problem with Google translate.||||Would I stay at the Buyuk Hotel again? Probably not as I would avoid...
