I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews? Yes, it’s pretty and you can see the Burj Khalifa and the Sheikh’s house but that’s it…

You’ve also got wonderful views of Karama, Mankool and Oud Metha… awesome.

You enter via gate 4 (parking is large but not shaded - it’s 10 dirhams for all day parking) then walk for less than 5 minutes through the park to the frame.

Once we arrived we were told no pushchairs (I was alone with my 9 month old baby). I queried why and they said it was from Dubai Municipality. I asked where this was written and they had a hard time trying to find it (it was in the terms and conditions when booking but no where else within the park or frame). I was asked to leave the pushchair outside but refused as it’s too hot so they kept it inside. We then went inside a small lift and started the tour.

There was a small exhibition site about Old Dubai. Unfortunately there was no explanations about any of the exhibits.

We then went in a lift to the top. At the top, it was a simple walkway with the middle see through. There were two small food stalls (70 AED for a cons of chocolate covered strawberries 🙄). One of the panels had broken and was covered.

We spent about 15 minutes at the top and then took the lift back down. There was a short video about the future but we arrived towards the end so didn’t know what was going on (surely this should be timed for each lift?)

Then we exited through a gift shop.

Sorry to say but it was really quite boring - I guess the price point is better than the Burj Khalifa for going to the top at least.
