For everyone who needs something to do when visiting Aberystwyth. I highly recommend catching the railway train up to Constitution Hill..The funicular train runs every 10min 15 mins when the train has enough passengers. It goes. Return as one train pulls up as the other comes down.
When you arrive at the top, there are panorama views of Aberystwyth and Ceredigion coast line. There is a cafe that serves tea, coffee, and cakes. It comes very busy in the summer months.July,August. Also, there is a main menu for lunch.
There are paths that can take you for a nice walk to Clarach . This is the coastal path. Suitable for push chairs. Be warned downhill to clarach, but it is steep to push a pram back up. Mobile scooters are the same principle. At the top of Constitution Hill, there is a camera dish to enter . Where you can veiw in the dark most of the bay. In the summer there is a bowling ali.( Small). The staff in the cafe are really lovely and kind Kelly, the manageress, is very obliging and will help in many ways. Cars are not allowed up there. The train runs at the every day in summer season
.. Lift has been installed for disabled travellers.. but have to get on the left side tram to access the lift after getting off the tram. Please ask at the ticket office when buying your ticket.
Disabled will be able to catch the train and the top, a lift to take the disabled to the top .but has to push a wheelchair for about two minutes to the cafe. It has a tarmacadam at the top. There is a bowling alley and a pool table in another building very near to the cafe. Also, the camera is obscure, but some days it is closed. Please ask to avoid disappointment. You plan a journey. I am local and wish to be helpful to holidaymakers for 2024 Wonderful for the disabled. Why should they miss out.? There is a crazy golf being built up on Constitution Hill. The manageress is marvellous and works very hard to make sure every event runs smoothly The best person one could have for the job. Along with her staff who work hard at...
