Room 6 Celtic bay guest house. where do i start. We had booked to stay for 5 nights from the 22nd of August, but stayed only 4 nights until we could find somewhere else. Thread bare carpet in room and on stairs. Unable to watch tv as no signal in room. Lack of drinks in room. No handle on hot tap in shower room, extractor not working, shower room door would no close. Toilet noisy when flushed. Lack of pates in the kitchen, badly marked kitchen table. Fire alarm certificate one year out of date and faults showing on fire alarm panel (did the fire alarm work , who knows!). Parking information out of date. Hard to find staff when needed. Property was not as advertised, pictures etc., again very out of date. Sorry unable to down...
Read moreOn initial inspection it was good. Towels, individual toiletries and a good range of tea, coffee etc. was nice. However, in the room (R3 rear facing), the mirror was only attached to the wall with 2 screws, the blinds had no cords to open and close them properly (I had to pull them across to close them, running the risk of pulling them down) and the walls and ceilings transmit noise very well. Doors don't seem to shut as crash close.We didn't have the breakfast as this was £7 pp on top of the £88 we paid for the room. We went to one of the local cafes and got more for less.A bit of a...
Read moreThe hotel (especially the rooms) looked tired and worn down. The carpets were ripped and the walls could do with painting but for 70 quid a night we were more than happy. Fantastic view from the room and we didn't have any complaints that would ruin our stay. That was until we tried to sleep. I think the walls are made of paper because someone in the room next door kept us up for 2 nights in a row with their snoring. They might have well been in bed with us, it was that loud. It's a shame because if it wasn't for the lack of sleep we definitely would have returned and seen the stay...
