The views are lovely, but you only experience them for a small portion of the walk. Open fields, woodlands, and farmland are the majority of the walk. Being overweight and unfit (but training for a mountain climb) I found it not too challenging - we started from Cleveland Walk. Walking boots a must as squelchy/slippery mud and uneven ground in some places. There are lots of interesting spots along the route and very clearly signposted.

Very enjoyable walk for hiking amateurs. Nearly all the views are towards the end of the circuit. Once you get out beyond the uni, the views drop off and you just walk. But it's all worth it once you get back towards bath and are presented with panoramic views of the city. Saw a pretty funky orchid and rock formation too. Lovely stuff

Steep climb once out of the centre, parts of the trail are not suitable for anyone with poor vision or mobility issues, definitely not wheelchair accessible in many parts..

A walk around hills around Bath. Circular, but I had to cut about half of it and return to start along road. So can do in sections if necessary. Could see city from some points but not all. Sometimes may be because trees have grown. Mainly it seemed to be rural setting close to city but most scenery was greenery. Quite muddy in parts as had been raining. Usually clear where to go, I only had one point where had to consult map apart from finding route out when ran...
