Edit to say there are other providers who I believe are not as good . Make sure that it’s the Fri tour or same group if you go…. I thoroughly enjoyed the new tours around Friars bush graveyard by the local historian and volunteers who have been clearing the site. I discovered so much about the history of Belfast in its early days and the importance of this early burial site , its use during the famine and the 1000s that are buried here, Mass during penal times . I would highly recommend this for anyone. The tour I went in was 11am on a Friday and there is also another one at 2 pm . The history of the local bread maker at his resting place and then enjoying a Belfast bap with local Tayto crisps and a chat with others afterwards was a great end to the trip. Definitely recommend. Currently £10 at the gates .

Beautiful and well organised visit, guiding you through one of the most significant locations in Belfast, full of history and stories. A must go, if you're around town.

Wow!! what a fantastic tour, Im Belfast born and bred and I feel that I learned the most incredibly rich history and integral pieces of culture during it than I have in school, or anywhere else at all really. Deirdre was amazing, so passionate and great at what she does. I felt so in touch with my home city and the history here that I felt inspired to offer to volunteer, as well as my boyfriend because we had so much fun learning and connecting to our home. Highly recommend to all humans, whether from Belfast or beyond! Go raibh mile maith agat for what you are doing may it continue and...

If only history had been brought to life like this when I was at school....this tour was a real treat. The three guides worked so well together as a team, to deliver their tour in an interesting and humorous (but respectful)way...we were in a graveyard. We adjourned to the Jeggy Nettle for a pint of the black stuff (Guinness)accompanied by a Belfast Bap and a packet of Tayto crisps. The craic was 90!This was a great afternoon and not to be missed.....We might even be back. Slainte (Cheers) P.SThe Bap and crisps are free when you buy a...
