I've only gone and only visited the new play area with the family. Lovely new swings, slides, climbing frames What i loved most was the fact both parent and child can swing together in one swing opposite each other. What i also loved about the new play area was it's got a modern take on it, got a digital touch posts that are spaced out in a circle and one in the middle, you can play various games on which i think it's powered by a solar panel, keeps you very active as the games are timed. Good easy access to the park straight off the main road to a free car park. There were 3 litter bins there but unfortunately get easily overwhelmed and also some people not using them so the litter is all over the floor. Could do with periodic cleaning.

Attending the Commonwealth Games at the Alexander Stadium was such an experience . The atmosphere and friendlyness of all concerned ( stewards /retail outlets etc ) was a tribute to the hard work of the organisers and Birmingham City Council. Track and field events were something else , to see Athletes from the Commonwealth countries taking part was amazing and contributed to a totally enjoyable evening.

Been a few times over the years. Around 2022 part of the park was closed during the Commonwealth Games. As of 2025, that part has been reinstated with a new path, facilities like a new play area, basketball hoops and table tennis tables etc. The previous things like BMX bikes are still there and the skate park. Reachable by bus, or a long walk from Perry Barr Station.

This my local park with the Birmingham BMX track club based here they gave lots of meetings and events for clubs from around the country and the world. It's exciting to watch when you are walking through the park and I can listen to the commentary as I live just across the way the park is well kept and is located easily to get to by foot car or bus . The lake at the top with all the geese swans and ducks is a nice way to relax . I love to walk my dog through here as do many people. Ideal for a family picnic when the...

I used to take the children to the play area at Perry Park 20 years ago but Birmingham City Council have destroyed the Park for the fruitless Commonwealth games, Birchfield Harriers have fallen out with their landlord, the whole park is fenced off with Harris fencing so you can't even walk across the park. In August 24 the Gipsies have made camp and yesterday a mob of West Indian gentlemen were parked on the verge playing loud music. Our once excellent facility has been ruined by the...
