Myself and the family have been to the Tennis courts for dinner today I had mixed grill and asked for steak medium to well but was Burnt on the outside but well pink when Cut open I couldn't eat it. Such a shame as everything else's was nice but its the main reason I Ordered a mix grill as I fancied a steak 😰. This was for my return visit for my free mixed grill Thank you very much.(7.10.23) BUT yet again it was full of Blood I don't expect Miller and Carter standard as its cheap and cheerful but don't want my steak MOOING at me

A good sized (very busy at this time - Commonwealth Games) pub with a huge garden, close to the Alexander Stadium. Serves good quality food and a great selection of drinks - reasonably priced too, staff appear friendly and helpful. Accessible entrance and toilets. Parking a little restricted, but that's due to the Commonwealth Games restrictions on access for vehicles generally and more access to pedestrians. Very tennis orientated signage inside - as you'd expect from The Tennis Court pub!

The drinks are fine here. Good service. Let down by poor food. Didn't taste nice and tasted like everything came out the microwave. Tables weren't that clean and the place needs a serious refurb. The atmosphere was ok but the crowd here isn't great. Overall decent pub for drinks. Not very family friendly.

I'm not too sure where to start on this review, but, my hubby and I have been occasional Saturday lunchers at the Tennis Courts for a few weeks and have found the food and service to be very good. We therefore decided to hold out annual family pre Christmas get together there, booked a month in advance and made sure all food choices were in two weeks before the set date. Oh dear. We were bitterly dissapointed, the first course came out reasonably well, but form thereon in it was disaster there was a 30 minute wait for the main course to come out, which was in fits and starts, one rib of beef meal was entirely different to the other two ordered. The gluten free was appauling and not as advertised, it took the waitress a good 10 minutes to come back and confirm the gravy was not gluten free. There was then another 30 to 45 minute wait for puddings, during which time we had piled all our dirty used plates onto a nearby table as we were fed up of looking at them. Not once were we asked if everything was well with our meals or service. The puddings all came out again in fits and starts and my husband's cheese and biscuits, the final one we waited for, advertised as stilton cheddar brie with chutney celery and black grapes, was actually 3 slices of cheddar, dry crackers and blueberries. We complained at the service and the state of the food which really was all frozen items that clearly needed no prep other non defrosting and reheating at an appropriate time to ensure all arrived in good time of each other. After complaining we were given a 25% discount. Laughingly there was a notice on the bar to say due to a large food order normal pub meals were on hold until after 4pm....we were the only ones eating, there were 10 of us. If this is the quality of their Chrismas party menu and service I suggest you stay clear. We will not be returning ...

I would just like to say what a great job your team did today before, during and after the England game this afternoon (7/718). Me and my partner have not lived in Birmingham long we’re from London so we haven’t found a local yet! We took the kids to the soft play just up the road. on our way back to go watch the football at the Wetherspoons we saw your pub and thought we would try it instead THANK GOD WE DID! As soon as we walked in a member of your staff Oliver directed us outside saying the bouncy castles being set up for the older kids and a screen for us to watch the football he was so friendly like we had seen him every day for years! We sat ordered drinks and then I had to change our 8 month old... your baby facilities are spotless and accessible to mum and dad being in the W.c toilets (he was gutted). Your regulars were so friendly coming up and chatting the atmosphere was amazing and family friendly. The other member of staff who was lovely was Paula she had a smile and even chatted with me while she served even tho she was and everyone else were rushed off their feet! As an ex bar manager I appreciated the work and effort they put in and still managed to be friendly and professional no stress or tiredness was visible. The glasses were cleaned up quickly with each member checking us and the kids were having a good day as they cleared our table. Thay didn’t stand there in awkward silence or make you feel like you had to rush your drinks (as they do in another certain place we didn’t go too). We will definitely be back and will not step foot in that awful Wetherspoons again!! P.s the food...

I recently visited this pub and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. The manager was exceptionally nice and welcoming. One of the things that stood out to me was the cleanliness of the pub. The floors were spotless, the tables were neatly arranged, and the whole place had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were equally friendly and helpful. They were attentive to my needs and provided excellent service throughout my visit. They were also knowledgeable about the menu and were able to make great recommendations. The food was simply amazing! I had the cod and chips and my friend had the chicken tikka masala. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The menu had a great variety of options, from classic pub fare to more sophisticated dishes, and everything was reasonably priced. Overall, I would highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a great dining experience. The manager's warm and welcoming attitude, combined with the clean and friendly atmosphere and amazing food, make it an excellent choice for...
