It's the first time we've been to the stadium. We drove there as the closest station, I understand was closed due to a bridge being replaced?? 40 minute drive, plenty of car parking and an easy walk to the stadium. Easy access after the usual security checks and a really nice stadium refurbished for the Commonwealth Games. However, quite a large part if the stadium is open, ok if it's not raining. We were sat in row C of the West Stand, again lovely in the sunshine but had it been raining all spectators in rows A -F would have been very wet as the roof doesn't quite cover them. We had great seats and a wonderful time. Given that Birmingham is probably the second largest city in the UK I would have expected who ever plans the transport infrastructure to have planned easy access to the stadium for spectators and athletes. Every other city I have visited has fantastic transport links either by train or tram and given that Birmingham is hosting the 2026 European Athletics Championships the Council and planners have let the people of Birmingham and any visitors down badly. The whole planning process has been flawed especially given that as a country we are encouraging people to use...

Attended the Diamond League athletics event here recently and it was obvious staff were gearing up for the Commonwealth games later in the year. We opted to park at Walsall's Banks' stadium on the park and ride. The buses were all ready to go once parked at it took just under 20 minutes before you were dropped right by the stadium. There were lots of stewards to direct you to the entrance. The bag search was quick and painless and again stewards were helping to direct you to the correct stands. There were lots of food choices on offer and drinks were similar to your average football ground so I was pleased we took our own. On departing staff with megaphones were directing people to the shuttle bus to the city centre and back to the park and ride. Despite there being a large queue it went down extremely quickly as more and more double deckers pulled up and whisked people away. I contemplated using a 'park on my drive website' but for me, travelling from the North I think the park and ride worked...

We had a good day here with great wheelchair accessibility, facilities and views. Sadly we found exiting the stadium an horrendous task as we were directed to the wrong park and ride bus queue, queued for almost an hour only to be told that this want the queue for the buses to the Blue Badge park and ride car park and nobody knew where the blue badge holders park and ride buses were. One supervisor steward was totally unprepared to use his Walkie talkie to help us. We went back to where we came from, luckily we were able to use a short cut and let through by a kind policeman and when an exceptionally kind steward saw us he asked if he could help, he told us to stay put, and went and found out where our buses where parked. He then proceeded to escort us to the stop and made sure we were on the bus before he left us. We will be eternally grateful for all of his help kindness caring and amazing attitude he showed when helping us and I can't thank him enough for saving our day at the...

I came here to see the Commonwealth Games. Lucky for me I had a relative down the road so I parked for free and walked 10 mins to the stadium. It was the first time I came here. There were plenty of helpers helping people cross the roads, guide you to the entrance, volunteers cheering the crowds with the banter while we made our way to go through security. There was so much security too, alot of armed police so you felt safe. There were so many food stalls but the queues were just too long. We only brought ice cream before entering the stadium. While watching the athletics, we did pop out for some hot drinks as it was cold. The stadium looks really impressive and modern. Shame England women's relay were disqualified but the evening was so entertaining, I am glad we came here to see this. Birmingham should be proud for hosting such a great sporting event.

I was lucky enough to attend the Diamond League Athletics meeting which was the official reopening of the stadium in May, and both the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony at the end of July and one of the CG athletics sessions the following week. I have to say the shuttle buses from the city centre worked extremely well on all these occasions, the stadium looked magnificent, with great views of the action from all of the seats I was allocated, and it was fantastic to be part of such wonderful events taking place in Birmingham. Oh, and well done the organisers on working with the the committee of Walsall Road Allotments, right next door to the stadium, to ensure that the plotholders could access the allotments and tend to the crops and resident cats, while the Games were on, brilliant, heartwarming stuff!
