Even though google says it’s open, it’s been closed for over 6 months, for essential maintenance work as it says… Went to see it, absolute waste of time. Really disappointed that this hasn’t been stated anywhere on Google. Recommended a change to it now….

He's a beautiful and fascinating Hall on the outskirts of Bolton a lovely little gem fascinating to go around and with the wealth of History for all Harry Potter fans there is even a recipe for butterbeer which I have posted

Very interesting historical home with the history of the spinning jenny and lots of old artefacts. Well worth a visit but check the times as it has limited opening. It's free to visit and also good place to take kids.

Another amazing house in the Bolton area which incidentally is free of charge. It sends to open on the days when Smithills hall is closed. It is the home of the Cromptons who invented the spinning Jenny.
