Bubble CiTea — Attraction in Borough of Spelthorne

Original review below. Edited to 1 star because of my experience today (18/09/2022) Went to Bubble Ci.Tea in Elmsleigh Centre Staines (same one as my original review) It’s Sunday morning, 10:32AM to be exact, the shopping centre was nearly empty. I walked up to Bubble Ci.Tea and saw a member of staff near the back of their stall washing something in the sink. I tried to call her attention 3 times, I said “excuse me, hello? Are you open?” I was not rude or shouting, if anything I thought she didn’t hear me. The member of staff looked up and looked straight at me (made eye contact) then looked back down and proceeded to keep scrubbing. I waited for a few seconds just in case she just wants to finish up washing up (obviously more important than a customer) but nothing. Not even a “go away we’re closed” or “wait a moment” or anything to acknowledge my existence. A simple “yes” or “no” would have sufficed. Sad to say this single incident put me off from even coming back to this shop. Please train your staff more. Train them to acknowledge people even if it’s just with a short phrase “please wait.”

In the spirit of fairness I will leave my original review below: Still in search of the perfect bubble tea near me but this one is by far better than the one in Staines Food Court. The tapioca is nice and their flavoured poppin boba is nice too. Decent size and impressive tumbler (really sturdy) you Lao have the option of having ice and you get to choose how sweet your tea Is as well. Good spread of flavours and friendly staff. New Bubble Tea shop in Staines, located inside Elmsleigh Centre. They have a variety of flavours and ingredients on offer and their price and portion size is on par with other Bubble Tea shops. This shop is definitely better than the one located inside Staines Foodcourt. You can customise your order to your taste and the instructions are clear on their display and menu boards. You also have the option to have ice or not in your bubble tea. There is a bit of wait while your order is being processed but I think in due time this will improve. I would definitely go back and try more...

The overall ambiance was vibrant and welcoming, making it a great spot for a quick refreshment or catching up with friends.

I also loved the eco-friendly options for straws and cups—it’s great to see businesses taking sustainability seriously.
