Clifton Car Boot Sale — Attraction in Bristol

This was a very good Car Boot Sale and it was very worthwhile travelling 40 miles to attend. Unfortunately it has now deteriorated rapidly. The Wednesday before last I took only a fraction of my usual take. Last Wednesday was even worse, only about 8 vehicles were there and very few buyers.

I can only assume people are staying away due to the sharp increase in prices for both sellers and buyers. If the organisers don't address this immediately I will no longer attend. £15 for buyers is far more than any other car boot sale I have ever sold at and £2 for buyers is far too much for such a small venue.

When my customers tell me that it has improved considerably and the prices have been cut drastically I will make the effort to come.

My local Car Boot Sale charges several pounds less to sell and less to buy. The last time I attended there were around 100 sellers and it was packed with buyers.

Very small car boot and sad to say it was the worst I've been to in my life :-( was looking forward to being able to go to one again and I hadn't ever visited this particular one previously. We got there for opening and had to pay £1 per person, not per car! The quality of items was extremely poor (the first stall had jars of fully rusted up nails and screws for sale!) and it seems like all the sellers knew each other and just bring the same junk every weekend, from conversations we overheard it also sounds like the sellers do get to go around before it opens to the public to buy things, so if there's anything worth having amongst all the tatt they must take it. I stumbled across this car boot sale on my morning dog walk so I didn't have any money on me. I thought I'd have a look anyway and could pop back later if anything caught my eye. I assumed it was free to walk in, so I did. I was then told it was £1 to enter. I explained that I hadn't intended to stop here so had no cash on me - I was told in no uncertain terms to 'do one' from one particularly rude, arrogant steward in high vis....
