The more Churches I visit the more I see the Hansom name pop up . It would appear that the Hansom clans works are almost as prolific and just as impressive as the Gilbert Scott's . And this is yet another with the family brand on it forever . Edward Joseph Hansom was the architect of this one in partnership with A M Dunn and what a work of art it is . Sadly I have just read that like Gilbert Scott's son who designed the Catholic Cathedral in Norwich both came to a tragic end . So sad this is so often the case . Two men who through their work are still bringing emense pleasure to a nobody like me a 100 years later should end like this . R.I.P. the pair of you . Needless to say this is a beautiful church anybody visiting Cambridge today will be familiar with it . I have lost my thread now but please visit and find it in your heart to say a prayer for the architect .

This is probably the most beautiful buildings in the area and being a catholic church, I was very happy that it was open during the day. You can freely enter the building, take pictures, admire the view or pray, without any issues. It is very interesting how, despite that it’s on a very busy junction, when you enter the building it’s like you enter a different realm, everything changes – the sound, the light And what I particularly like about churches, the air! You can probably get a good idea of the look of the place from the pictures and videos online but that has nothing to do with being there. I highly recommend. Unfortunately, there is no car park around the park for free, but if you are planning a visit to Cambridge, I believe it’s worth it to park at the nearest paid car park which is Queen Anne Terrace car Park.

Yesterday (Tuesday) I attended the 12:15 mass where we prayed for Pope Francis; may God bless his soul. I sat amongst a beautiful kaleidoscope of ages and colors as I listened to the holy word of the Lord. I was encouraged by the number of young men there. Praise God! What a worthy and uplifting way to dedicate some time in the weekday. Thank you to the Catholic Church for having so many mass times dotting the globe. It’s like a plethora of stars visible on a clear night from a cozy country home. For a full time traveler like me, each mass, each Eucharist, is like a crisp and clean new breath of air filling my lungs after choking in a smog filled city where the air is putrid. May God bless the church leaders and all upholding the house of the Lord. May God bless us - one and all. Love, A friend of Jesus ❤️

A very serene and peaceful place of worship this church has indeed the ambience of a peaceful place. It’s been very well looked after and has very clean interior. The information displays are clearly shown and one would like to spend more time in this holy place once inside. The exterior could do with a good clean up to remove all the black soot due to weathering over the decades. For this the campaign has started to collect donations but it’s a long way away from the target.
