Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Chesterfield

Me and my husband came into this establishment, and we were expecting a nice and calm coffee. We were wrong to expect this. Ordered a latte, my husband had a cappuccino, these were adequate, but the service however was far from this. A girl served me, Shannun I believe the name badge said, a blonde girl, and when I went up to the till to place my order, I was greeted with a look which clearly showed that she was not interested in being at work. I had told her my order and she rolled her eyes in a very disgusting manner, which made me feel like a nuisance for even coming in, and extremely unwelcomed. Some enthusiasm from her would have been nice. Overall, the rest of the staff were nice and smiley, but this girl brought the whole atmosphere down! Clearly needs the same training on customer service as the rest of the staff...

Came here to get coffee and asked for a latte, chocolate muffin and my partner asked for a smoothie. We paid £7.10 and got a 3 day old pile of chocolate they call a muffin, a glass of hot foamy milk that was supposed to be my wet latte and a smoothie with the stickiest glass ever. Rebeca, the waitress, was the second rudest person i have ever met on customer service as the rudest ever was her coleague. This place needs training urgently as i saw her clean the edges of the coffee filter from the machine with her hand after filling it with coffee and it went straight in the machine for the customer after me. And with the same hand she went to grab my 3 day old muffin! All this topped up with rolling her eyes when i requested a receipt and then throwing it on the counter when my hand was stretched! I always clear up after myself as I don't like other people to do it even though they get paid to do this. So, on clearing my table and taking my tray to the counter which I have always done by the way I get a member of staff say under her breath 'rather you leave it at your table' so I chirped up 'sorry I'll remember that in future ' and walked away don't know what else she said but there is ways of speaking to people and that's not it. I was only being helpful and if I wasn't I would like to be told what better way I can help staff. suffice to say I won't be using this costa again rude staff in need of a good dose of what customer service is about. It's about speaking to people politely especially when they were only trying to help. Train your staff better as this doesn't happen at...
