I booked for Mothers Day with Tesco vouchers because the Tesco site says the restrictions are as follows...Zizzi codes can't be used on takeaways, to purchase drinks, gift cards, eGifts nor towards a Set Menu, Lunch Menu....it doesn't mention mothers day restrictions which we found out when we got there. We still chose to eat there as finding somewhere else was proving difficult on such a day. I have since checked their website and it does state...as we are so busy on Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day & Father’s Day, and in December, you won’t be able to use offers from our promotional partners during these times....so all about greed then. Anyway we chose our pizzas and I asked for gluten free for mine as this was offered on the menu, but when I was in the toilet, my 12 year old son was asked if I had asked for gluten free out of preference or allergy. He said preference as he wasn't sure. I assured him it shouldn't matter why and for him not to worry. When the pizzas arrived, mine had a gluten free sticker on the plate, so I was assured by this. However I found the base quite stodgy although the topping was tasty. As we left there was no one to check with, but I'm sure they would have said it was gluten free. But having felt rough since yesterday and all through the night, I am not so sure. I think they felt "preference" gave them to right to tell me it was gluten free when I'm not...

The food was really good but a few items off the menu which would have been useful to be advised of before we ordered as went back and forth a few times as each time out choice wasn't available.
I asked if smaller portions were available and was told that wasn't an option. I don't like food waste and can't eat large portions, however when we left we were told we could have ordered kids portions of some items.
The restaurant always feels a little cold even sat next to he kitchen so perhaps this could be looked at.
We went to pay and were asked if we had any vouchers which we didn't. We then proceeded to us the app to pay which did give us 25% off but this wasn't advised and found by chance. The app was a bit of a faff but staff were patient and helped us through it to get the discount.
Overall a nice meal, staff were lovely to my daughter who's birthday it was .

From the moment we sat down, Amber didn’t just serve us—she orchestrated an experience. Imagine being waited on by a unicorn crossed with a mind-reading ninja and just a splash of Beyoncé-level flair. That’s Amber.
She was attentive without hovering, funny without trying too hard, and had an uncanny ability to appear exactly when we needed her. Empty glasses? Not on her watch. Confused about the menu? She gave Oscar-worthy descriptions that made every dish sound like it deserved a standing ovation. And yes, we did order more than we intended, because Amber is that persuasive (in the best way).
Honestly, if customer service were an Olympic sport, Amber would have the gold, silver, and bronze—probably while juggling dessert trays and solving world peace in between. She made us feel welcome, cared for, and genuinely happy to be there.
