The Bakewell Cheese Shop — Attraction in Derbyshire Dales

Visited this Superb Cheese Shop today 12 April. Received a warm friendly welcome from a well dressed smart gentleman in a tweed jacket. We purchased 4 local cheeses, local crackers plus a jar of ginger jam and a jar of lemon curd. As it was a hot day we were gratefull that we could leave our purchases in the fridge at the shop to collect later. This is a wonderfull shop and one to visit if you are in Bakewell. Oh my my, we walked past at first, then saw the booty on offer, turned around and went in. This shop is a goldmine if you are a cheese lover. Served by 2 very helpful cheerful ladies, who had a good knowledge on cheese. We had the Bakewell burner, Dovedale blue and a chill and lime.
