Awful experience. Long read, but worth it. I picked up a piece from a pile apparently just brought in. When I asked about the price, it was brought to a lady where she told me it was "at least £30". In my opinion, it was worth £10-£15. This was a collectors item which had visible wear and some parts missing. I thought that was a lot for what it was so i decided to compare the price of the same brand-new item on various websites. I found that for a similar price, I could buy one new. While considering my purchase, lady B walked over and asked if I wanted to buy it. I told her I was comparing prices before making my decision and she took it out of my hands to put it back on the shelf, far from where I was. I decided to ask another staff member if I could buy it for £25, as even this price is high for a visibly used, second-hand item. She said to ask lady A. When asking her, she yelled at me saying she already told me the price before going to the employee at the cash register and telling her to not sell it to me for anything under £30. I was flabbergasted by her rude behavior and left the store whilst still being screamed at by lady A. I am astounded by this terrible service and treatment of customers. Never...

Attractive historic church now unexpectedly hosting a community hub and perhaps the country's most unusual charity shop. The building has been well preserved, and it's possible to ascend the medieval tower for a charge of £3.50, offering good views over the town. The majority of the church building seen today dates back to the 13th and 14th centuries. The distinctive onion dome decoration, characteristic of churches in this region, was added in the 17th century. The church has a light airy feel inside, with high ceilings, elegant windows and some impressive carved recesses for tombs of wealthy...

Located in the centre of town, St Peter's church is a lovely place to pop in and enjoy its cafe and gardens. There is often a charity market. You can also climb up the belfry to have a breathtaking view on the town of Sandwich. The church is open 10 am - 3 pm. The church entry is free but to climb up the belfry you should pay £3.50.

P.S.

I try to share specific information. If the review was useful, put 👍. I don't get any "goodies", but other tourists will see this review first. Have a good mood and exciting...

We stumbled across this church by accident and what a find! Inside there are various stalls selling all sorts. Dog friendly inside but not up the tower. The staff that we met were amazing! We decided to pay to go up the tower (£3.50 each, well worth it). A lovely lady looked after our dog for the duration of our adventure up the tower which was so kind! What a star ⭐️ The ascent up the tower is not to be missed! Views all over the town and beyond! Binoculars to borrow and a guide to the views. Loved it!
