We visited early on Saturday evening and had a great experience. The restaurant itself is quite small, a single room with white washed walls and scrubbed pine tables. There is a patio outside for those warmer evenings. We ordered three starters. Calamari, Scallops and Wild mushrooms on toast all of which were delicious. Main courses were Rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce, whole Baked Plaice x 2 and half a Lobster. The food was excellent, well cooked, well presented and extremely tasty. Portions weren’t huge but they were sufficient to fill us up. We ordered one Creme Brûlée desert and a Pomona, a local apple Brandy with apple juice. A bottle of Vouvray at £32 pushed the bill up considerably but we enjoyed it though I preferred a glass of Muscadet at £8. This isn’t a cheap restaurant but you get what you pay for these days. Food was excellent. Service helpful and friendly. Environment comfortable. Venue, right on the sea front. We couldn’t afford to visit every week but for a special occasion it was perfect. Total bill came to £174.59 for 4 people. For a more detailed review, see my Blog “in search of a Great Breakfast on Wordpress.

What a wonderful experience at The Pea Green Boat! The fish of the day was cooked impeccably, a tasty experience to demonstrate the quality of the local fresh fish. The owner made us feel very welcome and the wine was very enjoyable too. Loved the decor, service and food/drink. Beautiful location overlooking the sea. If you want to experience the best of the area and enjoy good food this is the place to go! Tasty salad & fries sides not showing on below photo. Car park 1 min away

Went for my husbands 40th and what a treat. Superb local seafood and great service with a beautiful view over the bay. The owner was very knowledgeable about the local area and happy to have a chat and the chef was able to accommodate my dairy allergy so I could still enjoy the wonder dishes on offer. Will definitely be returning and would recommend without hesitation. A must visit for those who love seafood - the oysters and mussels were amazing.

Unfortunately porsha seemed to be having a bad day and was adamant on treating us extremely badly. Unbeknown to her we had been dealing with a high level of trauma, grief, and loss. We struggle on with a smile none the less. Which is more than I can say for uneducated and insensitive porsha. The condescending tone in which see reluctantly served us with caused the most stressful restaurant experience I've ever had. The starters were nice. But unfortunately the main which we both had was pork belly with dauphinoise potato and veg. We could tell it was a place trying to accomplish a fine dining experience, but unfortunately it was a little too fine as the portion was a complete joke. It was basically 2 tiny chunks. One a small piece of dauphinoise potato and the other a tough over done piece of pork with absolutely no crackling. We would have normally complained but due to the stinking attitude on porsha we were unable to deal with what felt like a very stressful situation. It's such a shame when people go out of their way to be rude or unkind to other nice people. I don't enjoy being a wining complaining person. This is the first full negative review I've done and I've done a few. If you read this porsha please know we don't actually care that much as we have love in our lives. We are kind to ourselves and others. We smile at people. We try not to judge. So whatever your reason for treating us so appallingly that night I'm sure it's justified. We have our own problems. That said if you can't be pleasant to the customers lining your pockets maybe you should seek alternative employment. Maybe politics or something? Or the job centre? Whatever your endeavours we wish...

Lovely restaurant. Waitresses were great, pleasant, food was great. Chef's helped a customer out of the restaurant who needed it. Showed great team work. 5⭐️

I've rated 3⭐️ on Google because I left disappointed. Down side the menu online 3 months out of date. The menu in the restaurant printed was missing a main course item lobster and price which was on the online menu. I asked the waitress do you have this? Young lady asked the chef and said it is within a minute of checking. It should be on the menu. £7 different to the online menu. Which wasn't mentioned till the end of dinner. £35 not £28 When bringing this to the attention as (both had lobster). It was met by the owner with menu online out of date 3 months and mess up on todays (not really sorry or didnt seem bothered) when spend over £130. Every item on the menu was the same price 3 months ago. I was told 'you are luckily to get the item as they didn't have it in yesterday'. Sounding towards I should be grateful. Printed on the bill £72 for the 2 mains so more than online the menu and the price we was told at the end £35! You do the maths. Twice the price was wrong. I didn't even mention the price on the bill was wrong as I felt like it was to get you to pay...
