M1 Go karts — Attraction in East Lindsey

I went to Mablethorpe last weekend with my 9 year old son, I haven't been for ages. When I told my son we were going go-karting he was really excited, even though he had never been karting before.

We got there and I can't fault the place or the 2 guys on shift that day, this was Saturday 26th July. It was clear my son was out his depth, he had no clue about go-karts or any idea how the karts handled and kept crashing hard into the barriers, almost went around the wrong way at one point. He ended up crashing after a few minutes and hurting his leg, and was upset and came off. The 2 guys were down to earth and patient with him. They put a bolt on to restrict the speed of the Kart and let myself and my lad go back out on our own after 20 minutes or so. My son really really enjoyed it and is eager to come back again, so thankyou.

I think it was £10 for 10 minutes, ideal for a quick blast to keep...

We went to M1 Go karts at peak time on Saturday so it was busy. One of our party is an adult with special needs, we told this to the gentleman doing the safety talk and he was so good with Luke. He was patient but not patronising he made sure Luke had a helmet he was comfortable with and he was just a nice guy, so much so we n sunday with more of our family and he was really nice again. I must add that he lost £40 in business because of the safety of a child, as in he wouldn't risk the child getting hurt because even though he was tall enough his legs were too short to safely reach the pedals, he even put the boy in a kart to check. I would give 10 out of 10 to this guy and his ethics. Will definitely go...

Myself, another adult and my niece came to go on the carts. However, the gent said that my niece might be too small. He let her sit in one of the carts and demonstrated that her leg when pressing the pedal was fully stretched and therefore it wasn't safe. He was decent enough about it and was apologetic.
