Hull Minster (formerly known as holy trinity church) was made a minster by the Archbishop of York John sentamu. The grade one listed building is the largest parish church in England, and is generally regarded as having some of the finest medieval brickwork in the country. The building dates from about 1300. It has changed quite a bit since 2016. The exterior wall fronting on to Trinity Square was demolished to make the church seem more welcoming and open. The beautiful carved Victorian pews were removed and replaced with plastic seating to allow the space to be used for more events. Most famously the local camra beer festival, the largest in the country outside of London, regularly attracting over 4,000 visitors over three days. The church now hosts concerts, fashion shows, classic car shows and many other events And is back of the Hart of the community.

Hull Minster is a Magnificent building among the old building. We walked past this building for three years and had never been inside. I saw they had an exhibition and event on Facebook; furthermore, I know it played a crucial role in WW2. Today, 14/2/23, we walked past it again then I decided to go in. They have a new cafe attached to the church it looks nice. It is free entry, but you can donate if you wish. They have a small souvenir shop at the corner where you can buy various things such as books, toys or jewellery etc. It is gorgeous architecture, nice and bright. I like the big colourful mosaic window, which shows Jesus’s story and the art of the ceilings. I’m Buddhist, but I appreciate this building. I will be back for the event if I can manage it. P.S. It locates next to the Trinity market, so you can find something to eat quickly.

A magnificent example of the perpendicular gothic style architecture. Built around the 1280s, it is the largest parish church in England by floor area. Several million pounds has been spent on the minster over the last few years, cleaning the stonework inside & out, essential repairs, a brand new cafe/ tearoom is now connected to the church, but, still, work goes on. Despite Hull being the most bombed city during the 2nd WW, the minster was left unscathed as the Luftwaffe used it as a navigation point when on mission to bomb cities such as Liverpool. Volunteers are on hand & are extremely helpful & knowledgeable. Tower tours are available, (Check online or upon your visit), there is also a small shop. Note' entry is free, but, donations are very welcome. I recommend a visit to this stunning building when visiting Hull.

What a gem. The infrastructure of the building is excellent to think it's not even a cathedral. The design in different colours of the glass windows are phenomenal. This week is a freedom festival here in which Hull celebrates every year. This year is different as the GAIA Globe is inside the Minster to increase the awareness of emission and global warming. The church is under going renovation of its South side so it really needs a financial support. Donations on any ways are welcome. The cast iron pot I was carrying in the photo was designed by Abraham Darby I. This pot is in Iron Museum in Ironbridge UK which was lent to Prof Mark Jolly of Cranfield universities UK for exhibit purposes only. I was honoured to meet and talk to Frank, the Bishop of Hull.

The architecture of the building and the stained glass windows are wonderful works of art. The wooden carvings on the pews are wonderful to see and a number of educational anecdotes are scattered around the building. All of the pews are pushed to the sides and the organs are in a bit of disrepair. There is a gift shop there, (which is a little bare and personally I think the space could be used differently but I can understand that the museum needs donations and money to run itself. There is a small play area for smaller children and a little quiet cafe with home made baked goods, and a knitting group of ladies sat in one corner. (They were very friendly and sweet.)
