Last night I attended the non stop sixties christmas show after booking the tickets 9 months ago and paying £70.20 for two tickets. I can honestly say it was the worst night of my life, I have never experienced such intense cold in all my life . We were in the front row and it was just like sitting in a deep freeze. Everybody else in the audience was huddled up in coats and scarfs etc and were visibly shivering. The warm up act , the Aces started the show off, and although they tried it was nt great, after watching them for an hour we began to shiver so much my back hurt , my jaw hurt from my teeth chattering together and my legs were shaking. We struggled on for another hour when the apptly named shakers came on , by this time we wanted to just get out, then on came Beryl Marsden who looked very cold and ran off the stage shivering, we just prayed for the interval to get out as by now we felt so cold we felt ill. The lady at the side of me said "we came here last week and it was baltic then too" In the interval we asked the staff why there was no heating , they just did not care they said its an old building it cant be warmed , and we have had the air con blowing . If the building is not fit for purpose then dont sell tickets and dont take our money. Weinformed the staff we were not going back in for the rest of the show meaning we missed Dave Berry and Spencer James who were who we came to see and not the mediocre Aces, we informed the staff we expected a refund , they were rude and unhelpful, they said everyone else is happy lol I suggested they go and ask them as all are shivering and complaining, I also suggested they go and sit in our seats which would be vacant in the second half and experience the intense cold for themselves, another offer they refused. Staff were sarcastic, rude and unhelpful. We will never ever visit that awful...

Went to see The Drifters tonight Saturday 13th September. having a brilliant night stand by me came on so myself and my mother in law stood up to dance. A man behind us decided this was his opportunity to tap us on the shoulder and tell us to sit down. Not ask Tell. We carried on dancing, he then proceeded to punch me in my back (I am currently 20 weeks pregnant) he again told us to sit down as he had paid for his ticket and could not see we told him to get up and join us and dance but no instead he hurled abuse at us calling us selfish. (My mum had bought me tickets to see the drifters with her for my birthday. unfortunately my mum could not make it as she has terminal cancer and is currently in hospital.) my mother in law rightly went and told a security guard who advised us we could dance if we wanted to. We then advised them of the assault on myself and the abuse, said man was kicked out but not before he caused a scene, denying any wrong doing even after people in front of us and behind us advised the hull city hall team that he had been abusive. All of the staff where absolutely brilliant making sure I was ok bringing coffee and water, we also got moved to the balconys so we could enjoy the rest of the show. Well done all staff and thank you for everything. I so wanted to go home but you all made the rest of my...

Poor venue. We watched Leigh Francis’ (Keith Lemon) show on Friday 22/03/24. Such a great show! Hilarious, excellent production value for a comedian. However, our experience was incredibly tainted by the venue’s outdated setup and incredible lack of organisation and management. The doors opened late, everyone ran to the doors once opened and squished through. No security in sight! Very unsafe for anyone with mobility issues/claustrophobia. There were 2 bars open for a packed out venue (~1200 people), with a total of 6 bartenders serving altogether (3 on each). Took half an hour to get through a queue of 20 people, then causing us to take our seats after Leigh had started (he even started 15 minutes late to account for staff’s delays). As for the venue itself, seats are uncomfortable, and all on one level so if you’re behind a tall person you won’t be seeing anything. Sound system is outdated, only speakers were at the front and not loud enough for people at the back to hear. Overall a good night but would’ve been better in a...
