Absolutely disgusting food and service. We use another brewers fayre regularly so thought this was a good bet. All the tables were littered with dirty dishes or reserved when we went in, finally found one, But firstly we waited for nearly an hour to get any food, then a waitress came over and asked if we'd had our starters yet. We explained that we hadn't had anything yet and we had asked at the bar that everything was served together as I only eat certain foods so make mine up with starters. Waited another 20 minutes and hubby had to go to bar, guy said he'd sort it. 5 minutes later only mine came out because they'd sent the starters out first. Had to ask again then another 20 minutes later the husbands and sons came out. Minus the hubby's chips which he again asked for. Which never did arrive but after tasting the rest of the food we didn't bother asking again. The onion rings were so Chewey they gave you jaw ache and my son's kids meal looked like Ronald MacDonald had spat up on the plate. The chips were soggy and the nuggets rock hard and the whole lot was Luke warm. Husband's lasagne was hot inside but cold outside. Just desperate to leave by then. As we were leaving hubby and son went to toilet and that was so disgusting there was bodily fluids on the floor, no soap for hand washing, soap dispensers out of order and nothing left in its place. Broken mirrors, Broken toilet roll holders and the cistern was leaking everywhere. Had to clean our hands in the car with alcohol wipes. Never again always been happy with brewers fayre elsewhere but this one was revolting. Dramatically gone downhill since we were in a...

The customer service here last night was dreadful. The waitress (until she heard us talking about how bad the service was), gave the impression she just didn't want to be there. A friend had ordered soup from the app, she came out of the kitchen to our table saying "this is why I hate that app, what flavour soup would you like". My friend asked what there was, and she said tomato and soup of the day. Had to ask twice what the soup of the day was.

3 of us put an order in from the app with no starters, and then the other 3 people with us done the same, with 2 of them having starters. The waitress asked if we wanted the starters first etc, and we said yes just bring the mains out together. Then our 3 main meals came out, followed by the 2 starters from the other order. So 2 people were eating starters, 3 people were eating main, and 1 person was eating nothing waiting for her main.

During our meal my husband ordered another drink. Barman brought it to the table, and decided to lean straight over me and directly over my plate of food I was eating from, to hand him his drink. We were sat in the outside of the table in chairs, so it's not like we were in a booth and he had no choice.

2 of us had finished our main meals and my husband was still eating his. A waiter came over and lifted his plate off the table to take it away. My husband had his mouth full so I had to tell the waiter he was still eating, so he apologised and put his plate back down.

We do usually enjoy eating here and the food was nice, but the service was much...

I had 2 experiences here whilst away for a week nearby. We came as it is directly on the marina with gorgeous views. The first time we came was for tea as a family of 6 (my mum and dad were with us)and even though we had booked they couldn't sit us together as they were too full so they split us up at either end of the pub. I can understand with covid its difficult but there were at least 3 tables empty near us for the duration of the meal. This just spoiled the experience for us. The 2nd time we went was for breakfast as the deal was good and kids eat free. Got there and were sat together this time no problems. The lady sat us down and said she would be back to take our order. 15 mins came and went, and then she sat a stag party down of 12 men and served them before taking out order. We had a children in our party so I was very annoyed as they were well and truly fed up and we had clearly been forgotten about. I had to ask them to come over. When they finally did the service seemed to improve slightly but to be honest it is a very disorganised pub, meals are standard. The only thing I enjoyed here to warrant a star is taking my coffee out to see the...

Spinderalla cut it up 1 time: After 3 hours of swerving middle lane hoggers, ombrophobiacs and general anus holes I checked in. That was quick and friendly, kinda like a glory hole? So my friend said... I needed beer and that came quicker than a red bull F1 pit stop. I consumed it even quicker, see proof. Moments later an anaemic pizza turned up; I was so sad I heard mini violins playing. Then I remembered I ordered it so I got it down like James Brown. Boy was it way better than it looked, kinda like that fat drunk girl outside the chippy in 1997. Left the crusts. Obvs. 4 stars for atmosphere cos there was a seagull screeching outside and I wanted to put its beak in a vice and play keepie uppies. Hear yee! Hear yee! For the great beast has been slained! Lord Loch Ness Monster was ordered and consumed on this day, the 10th day of month of year 22. Thou shall capture no more pictures of Nessy the chicane necked wonder of the world. Thy beast was not consumed with disrespect. For they were partnered with sweet potato fries, coupled with chicKin and garnished with an abundance of salady salad. For they will be remembered. #chickenANDribs

We've been going here for years, it's basic fayre. Today, however, was the worst service we've had. 45 mins and still no food, they never said there was a delay when ordering. At 45 mins waiting, we asked what was happening, just being plated, up they said. After what seemed like another 15 minutes, our meals arrived. As I'd expected, mine was wrong, I asked for no peas or tomato, but they put both on. Also, the gammon was burned and tasted of soot. I ordered well done, not cremated. The chips were also burnt, and not very warm. We also ordered desserts, Apple Betty and custard. This came fairly quickly when asked, but was tasteless really, could have done with a bit of sugar or jam on top. Overall, a disappointing, tasteless experience, not how it usually is. Probably leave it a while before we risk it again.

Lovely spot to grab a meal. Lots of free parking and very relaxing location. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Food quality was good with plenty of choices for food and drink. This pub/restaurant has a children’s play area - this is clean and well maintained although is a little expensive (could be free for guests staying in the Premier Inn). Why 5 Stars? (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) - Look, it’s not pretending to be a Michelin started restaurant BUT it does offer reasonably priced food that is decent quality and of a good range. We’d go back and use again. What does the place need to watch - cleanliness was good but this could easily slip (menus/condiment holders aren’t ever nice to handle if grubby).
