I wasn’t going to write this review... but me and my wife are up visiting our daughter. We have been to Braehead twice over the past week. On our first visit, we bought food and attempted to sit down at the track and trace system they had in place. Obviously due to the pandemic, there are only limited seating capacity which is understandable. However, on our first visit, I was disgusted. A security man who worked there was dealing with seating customers. You need food to get sat down, and mainly you need a smart phone to get in. My wife has recently been diagnosed with osteonecrosis, so I approached the man and asked if I could possibly sit my wife down, just until I could go and get food due to it being extremely busy with queue. He rudely shouted at me have you not got food to which I tried and explained the situation about my wife. He told me I must go and get food. I asked if I could leave my wife to sit down, and he told me no I must both go and get food. We waited in the queue for half an hour, my wife’s legs were killing her. She could hardly walk. We came back with the food. And we asked to get a table again. He then asked us to scan in, however I’m not good with smartphones. I tried to scan, and it wouldn’t work. He began shouting at me again asking me to enter a link. Me and my wife gave up, and decided to leave it. We then came back in a few days later for some last minute shopping. This time our daughter came with us. We decided to get food again, as our daughters a little better with smartphones. There was another guard on this time, a younger man. He was absolutely brilliant. The terms of customer service was night and day from before. Even though we had food, whilst we were standing behind people checking in he offered my wife his seat whilst we waited after I told him about her. He then told us that shopping centre actually give out mobility chairs, even offering to get someone to take us. He talked us through the track and trace and actually took the time to answer our questions on their system. A delightful young man who changed a one star rating to four. I’d love to give five stars, but unfortunately that other guard still tainted our...

Read moreA large shopping mall. Of all the shopping centre's in Glasgow and surrounding areas this is probably the best of the lot that I have been in. It is usually pretty busy in here but it has a nice relaxed atmosphere rather than the hustle and bustle type of place I find is the normal in other malls. You can come here and take it easy doing your shopping and not feel like it's too crowded with people pushing past you and bumping into you on the way past. You'll find just about any shop you may be looking for in here and there seems to be lots of parking spaces. In addition to the shops inside there is a huge IKEA just across the carpark at the main entrance. Also there is a building out back called Xsite. Xsite has a multiplex cinema, a skiing, snowboarding and sledging activity place, a climbing wall, a laser tag place, a kids park/obstacle course suspended about ten metres up, a trampoline park, a ten pin bowling and video game arcade and a large helter skelter. There are outdoor activity shops in here too like a bicycle shop and a climbing gear store. On top of all that Xsite has several eateries and pubs on site that includes Toni Macaroni, Five Guys, a Witherspoon's, a hungry horse and a few more places. And if all of that wasn't enough at the side of the shopping centre there is the Braehead Arena where they play host to any and all of the worlds famous musicians. I have been here to watch a boxing match when Scott Harrison won a world championship, seen Oasis when they were still a group and hipped and hopped along with Snoop Dogg. I think they even host ice hockey matches here. What more could one ask for between all that Braehead Shopping centre combined with Xsite and Braehead Arena has to offer?...
