DONT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS PLACE! VERY RUDE AND ONLY AFTER YOUR MONEY!

I was walking by this pub and i liked the look of it so decided to stop by with my pregnant wife for a drink. Unfortunately as soon as i ordered my drink and stepped outside to sit on their outside tables (which i then realised was infested with wasps) a wasp flew into my glass and unfortunately was just left floating on top of the liquid.

I went back in to report it to the three members of staff working at the bar expecting them to replace the drink out of common courtesy, but i was just greeted with a cold, angry response of

“its not our fault that a wasp flew into your glass, what do you want us to do about it”

And then another member of staff responded

“We can take the wasp out if you like”

Really! They wanted to take out the wasp and give it back to me to drink! Hahaha

I am absolutely flabbergasted by their lack of empathy and which makes it even worse is that i was with my pregnant wife which they seemed to not care about! The fact that they refused to replace a £5 drink and wanted me to pay for another one just shows the selfish character of this place. The outside tables which is part of this pub is infested with wasps which all customer were complaining, and they seemed to not care at all!

I advise anyone to stay away from this place. Their are plenty of other bars along the same steeet which have bery pleasant staff...

Negative Experience with Staff – Very Disappointing

Yesterday I visited this pub with my family and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with one of the staff members, a bartender named Rubi. I ordered two coffees, a beer, and two portions of chips. Rubi was clearly in a bad mood, and from the beginning, she was rude and unfriendly.

She only brought me one coffee, and when I politely told her I had ordered two, she responded in an unpleasant and dismissive tone, saying she heard only one. She then made the second coffee with a visible attitude. When I tried to confirm that she had heard my order for two portions of chips, she replied in an obscene manner that she did hear and then told me I should never come to the pub again.

I was genuinely shocked. I’ve never been treated like this in the UK before. I was polite and respectful throughout, yet I was made to feel like a burden simply for ordering a coffee and some food. Her attitude was hurtful and completely uncalled for.

Rubi was wearing glasses, had dark hair, and a fuller figure. I strongly do not recommend this place based on how I was treated. Very disappointing and upsetting experience....

Terrible experience Chef does not know about gluten free diet.... We visited the pub today based on favourable reviews on Internet plus that offers gluten free options for my coeliac son. When asked about gluten free options, the personnel had to ask the chef. When I was given the options, I have also asked if chips are gluten free and they told me yes. As such, I ordered a portion. As I was going upstairs (where we had our table booked), I saw the kitchen and asked the chef that the chips are 100% gluten free. He then told me that they don't have a separate fryer for chips and use the same oil for battered fish/chips which is basically the definition of contamination... I explained to the chef and answered me that those are cooked in a high temperature which doesn't make any difference. .. I was shocked by his ignorance...Even worse he had a bad attitude and he asked me to step away from his kitchen. .. Not sure why this is coming as a top place bit it shouldn't be.
