This is a small quaint Tudor merchants house on a steep, stepped lane, off the shopping street, that leads to the road overlooking the beach and harbour. It is a nice walk through the centre of town from pay and display parking. The house was acuqired in 1976 and has been restored to look like an (unknown) Merchants house of the time. Set over threee floors with a single room per floor, the reproduction furniture matches the style and age. Unusually for its time, the building was built with "flushed" (stream washed) sanitary facilities restored on 2 of the trhee floors. For younger members there are games on the first (living) floor. Part of the top floor is not available as it is the NT Volunteers area. The volunteers on duty were knowledgeable and keen to answer any questions. Whilst there is a small sales area with books etc, this property does not have facilities and would be difficult (by its nature) for disabled members both to get to and to move from floor to floor. We enjoyed it. Well worth a visit.

Quietly nestled down an alleyway in the heart of Tenby. This site is very well preserved and brings Tudor life to life. The site has many interactive features and very friendly and informative staff. Inside, you can get a real feeling for the Tudor era. Well worth a visit whilst in Tenby, and by doing so you can help preserve the nation's heritage. It's a National Trust site, and is relatively inexpensive to visit. Set across three levels and a small.garden at the rear.

Great if you're into Tudor history, but lacking a deeper narrative/story. They don't know much about who lived there. Basically just three rooms to look at. Guides did their best to explain what each room was used for and how people lived. A few games for kids. Won't be much new for anyone that has visited similar properties. The place was full on a rainy day so we had to wait a few minutes for someone to leave before we could enter.

I would first like to iterate that I in no way am blaming the volunteers working at the home- they were lovely and very knowledgeable.

I believe there was around 2 items in the home that were actually authentically from the home- a sideboard and a toilet.

Everything else had been manufactured or replicated. Replications weren’t actually historically accurate either.

All information on the provided sheet was the same as in the info provided on the pillows dotted around the building providing minimal information on the history of the home.

New walls built, staircases added and areas blocked off all in all made it not very historically accurate at all.

Also, the herb garden could use...

Difficult to enjoy a place when you spend over an hour trying to find it due to lack of signage. Being told at the venue that everything is on the website is not helpful when you are travelling to a new area and connectivity is poor (my GPS device lost signal whilst entering Tenby!). Parking was a distance away so left my wife at the venue whilst I parked in town! Started the timed entry tour but could only see the middle floor as due to Social Distancing we were directed to a specific area first and those on the top floor were not ready to change places. Not impressed here but might have to return when it might be easier to do...
