We visited in April on a Sunday for context.
Today we visited with a 2.5 year old. 90cm. While there were a lot of interactive elements and two rides - plus lots of opportunities for meet and greets I did find there to be a few things that could be improved/caused me some concern/disappointment.
By area: The paw patrol area was fun for the littles. They can go on the vehicles and press buttons which have various effects. There is also a slide. The slide was quite tall and you will need to help little ones significantly to be able to go on this. There is a lot of space in the area which makes it feel like it was supposed to have more in it. It feels a bit empty.
Nick central. The tubes are fun. Would be nice to have more than one slide Blaze car ride and the diggers/balls was really fun and my little enjoyed it.
Bikini bottom The volume on some of the interactions was so loud! Lots of kids getting frightened. No need. But lots of fun interactions to play with which was a plus. The boat ride. Positive: it was fun and little one loved it. Negative: such a long wait - which could have been so much shorter if they did it properly. After the first queue you go in for a photo. Then into a video. They could be getting people through this while rides are going on. But they didn’t use this opportunity properly. Leading to frustration from kids and adults.
Ninja Turtles. This soft play is aimed at much older children. The slide on the rooftop element gave everyone very painful static shocks. Not just my family but lots of people complaining. This area also has a hidden drop down which can lead to a kid falling and/ or going down an exit you don’t realise meaning they can get lots. All be it only really in the turtles area. The ride here though is great and was well managed.
Rugrats. Massive. Huge. Letdown. I was expecting this to be a soft play area for the smaller ones. It’s literally just 6 foam blocks in a tiny themed space.
Cafe Badly run, long waits, dirty tables. It wasn’t even very busy really. Prices are reasonable and food is nice when it comes. (Basics like burgers, hotdog ect). Healthy options would have been nice. Like a called or even some fruit.
4d cinema No comment as my little is too small. Minimum 1m.
All in all. It’s OK. Just OK. But it has the potential to be great with just a few tweaks and maybe a few more things for the little ones. (And to be fair. Even the bigger ones would...
Read moreFollowing our recent party booking, I’m writing to express our disappointment with the overall experience. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the event due to several issues that impacted both us and our guests. Please see the concerns below:
Overbearing Time Reminders: While we fully understood that the party hall was booked until 1 PM, the number of reminders from staff about vacating the room was excessive and, frankly, unnecessary. It disrupted the celebration and made even the adults feel uncomfortable. We felt the emphasis was more on us leaving rather than ensuring our child had a great birthday experience.
Ice Cream Served in a Rush: Ice creams were distributed at the very end with no time left for the children to enjoy them properly. When we attempted to finish them outside the hall, staff took the spoons away, stating they belonged to the party room. This was disappointing and felt unnecessarily strict.
Character Appearance: The character’s visit was extremely short - about 5 to 10 minutes and there was minimal interaction with the children. This did not align with our expectations based on the booking details.
Photo Booklet Confusion: We were told we’d receive a photo booklet and went to the reception to select a picture. However, we were asked for a red token which we were never given. We had to go back and forth between the reception and the party room, eventually showing the booking form before the booklet was provided. This caused unnecessary stress at the end of what was meant to be a happy occasion.
Overall, the experience was disorganized and far from the joyful celebration we had envisioned for our child. We expected a smoother and more professional experience from a brand like Nickelodeon, and sadly, we left feeling disappointed...
Read moreYou will do a lot of waiting in queues whilst your young person runs around between listless and mono-dimensional 'rides'. However, it will definitely wear your young ones out due to size of the area.
Be prepared to shell out £45 for a family of 4 for entry here. We visited on a Saturday morning (we rebooked due to weather) the rebooking system is poorly explained and circular. Upon entry the staff were friendly and happy and great with the children. 3 ways to get up to the area (stairs, lift, escalator) the whole place was clean, spacious and looked great. HOWEVER. It comprises of 3 main area seperated by theme (paw patrol, TMNT, Spongebob) The 'rides' look fantastic, but actually are very limited and not interactive. They are static and the 5 paw patrol rides do nothing except have steering wheel and a few (random) lit up buttons. The look out tower was good though and much enjoyed. 4D cinema was fun, although a bit scary for the younger ones. We did not wait, however others said they did. Minimum height of 90cm for most things, however over 120cm to ride the carts by yourself. The spongebob boat-karts were good, however, you will NOT have a comfortable few minutes if you are an above average size human. Soft play was ok, the other activities/rides were OK, but really 1 dimensional. If you want your charge to meet a character... Start queueing at least 15 minutes before the time... Otherwise you will wait 30 minutes. There is a coffee shop (phew). Each photo costs a tenner at the shop upon exit.
Style over substance. Don't bother unless your young charges LOVE all 3 cartoons.
