I stay in Premier in. Hotels every month for work, unfortunately my experience this week has not been a good one. It’s a shame because the 2 gentleman who work the reception have been amazing and are an absolute credit to the business. That’s where the positive experience ends. While in the shower yesterday (18/6/25) at 6am in the morning the water totally cut out (was off for over 39 mins) this then subsequently meant I missed breakfast as needed to be in a train to London at 7.25am for a meeting, when I spoke to reception I was told there had been a flood in room 28 and they were fixing it, very dismissive, we were not informed there would be an issue with the water which would have been nice considering I was in room 24. Then to top it off I had a lot of banging the same evening u too 10pm and was rudely awoken at 6 am (19/6/25) by workmen banging and drilling in the room above me. When I spoke to reception again the female receptionist was extremely dismissive and said we are having a refit next week. I politely pointed out that this may be the case but we are full paying guests and have a right to not experience this degree of noise so early. The receptionist just said I can’t help and to ring customer service. I appreciate they are refitting some rooms next week, but the lack of care or empathy from the staff isn’t really what I would have expected. Booked in to the West hotel now for...
Read moreI stayed here for my birthday with my family and it was okay. We had the option of early check in which was helpful. The corridor is so small two people can't walk side by side. The room was decent but what needed improving was further carpet cleaning. The floor was quite dusty in our room where we stayed you could feel it walking barefoot and my toddler wore clean socks and it got dirty just from walking on the carpet. The floor board was also creaky and the room above us. The wall was so thin I could literally hear a couple going at it (if you know what I mean) at night very loudly above us and I had to put my hand over my ear to block it out in order to sleep. The Brewer's Fayre (their restaurant) although it had play areas for kids didn't seem family friendly. Very much a pub atmosphere with drunk people, not the best especially with a little one when you need to eat in. We ordered chips and it was awful and overpriced. I stayed at this hotel mainly to go to lakeside but I don't think I will return. I was also surprised to know there wasn't air con but a fan, I can imagine how hot the room will be in summer weather of over 27 degrees. Overall you get what you pay for, the staff are nice but it's a very...
Read moreThe vending machine didn’t work. Then my room card which was activated about 30 minutes ago and let us in our room decided to stop working. The rooms are dated the shower is terrible and can’t be adjusted to a different position and sprays directly onto the hotel shower gel that’s located in the most ridiculous location so forget using the hotels shower gel. The room was hot and had a fan that was something I would of had back when I was in primary school. The Tv remote was so worn you couldn’t make out what some of the buttons were for.it was also broken so the remote battery would constantly fall out. This has to be the most noisy hotel I have stayed at. The floors outside the hallway would constantly creek when people walked by the doors between the hallways were loud as they slammed when closing. The cleaners in the morning were loud (7-8am) they were shouting to each other and banging while cleaning the rooms or whatever they were doing. Broken sleep in...
